Spanish desserts are yummy!
We're in Spain! YAY!!!

For those who don't know...Spain was the place I wanted to visit the most! I wouldn't even look at a tour unless it included Spain.

I was expecting Spain to be like Rome. Crowded, hot, and not so clean. It isn't like that at all! We arrived about 3pm in the afternoon. It's not crowded, sunny with a cool breeze, and CLEAN! There are guys sweeping the streets!

We are staying on Amrey Diagonal. It's a modern hotel. The most modern we've stayed at. Also...FREE INTERNET! That's right baby!!!! It's been costing us about 10-15 Euros for 2 hours wireless access from some hotels. Free is excellent!

After updating my blog, checking email, etc...Todd and I get ready for our optional tour - dinner and show.

We had dinner at a Spanish restaurant and a Flamenco show on Las Ramblas (I think that's the name of the main street). The food was delicious! Buffet too! I was so hungry that I finished my first plate in minutes! I got a second plate but wasn't able to finish it! I was stuffed! The food served were things like - paella, seafood salad, potato salad, spinach slice, potato cake, frittata, etc. The desserts were the best! Better than the food. Creme Brulee (my fave), chocolate mud cake but more chocolatey, profiteroles, coconut cake, caramel cakes...oh and fruit. We didn't take any of that hehehe.

After dinner we moved into the showroom. The Flamenco show went for about 2 hours. It was lots of loud heel and toe banging dancing. Lots of energy, singing, and clapping.

The night ends and we get back on the bus to our hotel. Shower time and now some net time. I just love this free Internet.

Tomorrow we have a city tour of Barcelona then free time until 9pm. At 9pm Todd and I go on the optional night tour. It's a tour of the city's dancing fountains.

Oh and most importantly tomorrow I go SHOPPING! Spain is cheaper than the rest of Europe so I am going to get some retail therapy. Saw a boot store across from the restaurant today. Hopefully pick up some Spanish leather boots! 😊

Buenos Noche!
