Some furry friends we found up the Calgary Tower
Today is Sunday and the temp is 27c. Ron and I went to the Immanuel Church downtown this morning. We made a few wrong turns after getting off the C Train and managed to walk in a huge loop - thus we were half an hour late. The message was good though and we knew the last song. Timothy picked us up and we went to the Calgary Zoo. That was super but so very hot. About half of the families in Calgary were there too and when it came time to leave the queue was very long and very slow. Great zoo though.
Yesterday Timothy took us to Drumheller to see the Badlands Passion Play. What an amazing experience! There was a cast of hundreds, a permanent set in a natural amphitheatre right in the middle of the badlands, not a bad seat in the house, fantastic. Ron and I thought we had the best seats in the house - we could see and hear everything and didn't have to climb many steps to our spot. If you look on canadianpassionplay.com you will see some great pictures and understand why I'm so excited. The finale' was particularly moving. To portray

Ron and I rest up prior to the big staircase trip to the Music Festival.
Jesus' assention, the man playing His part ran up to the top of one of the hills surrounding the amphitheatre, the whole cast came running from all corners of the area, the music was swelling and fabulous (I can't remember what it was, but it added to the moment), a white dove flew from somewhere to fly around a few times, then all of a sudden every hill around us had an "angel" standing on it. There were tears streaming down my cheeks and I'm sure I wasn't the only one. Totally fabulous!
We met Valentina - Timothy's lady. She's lovely. Very smart, small with lovely gentle eyes and a beautiful smile. They went to visit the Tyrell Museum while we were at the Passion Play.
Thursday night Russell & Mini took us to the Calgary Folk Festival on Princes Island Park - right in the centre of Calgary's downtown. There were thousands of people there, lots of bands and stages, lots of food stalls and lots of crafts etc for sale. Ron and I were quite overwhelmed by the size and scope of the whole thing. A couple of the acts were great and some we wondered how they

managed to get into the line up but that's show biz.
Friday night we had a wonderful meal and visit with Mini's parents - Trypta and Cashmiri. Trypta is an excellent cook and the Indian food was super. They are wonderful people and I hope they will come to New Zealand as they seem to be interested in doing.
All in all, we are having a magnificent time here in Calgary. Some pictures to share:
Our love to you all - sorry you are having such horrible weather, may your homes be filled with joy and love enough to warm you through and through.

BRRRR!! It sure is cold HERE!!!! Big freeze over the whole country.
Hi folks, while you roast we freeze so which do you think is worse??? We were due to fly to CH CH this morning to meet our son David, his wife Kim and their youngest H annah (15) who arrived in Auckland from Toronto at 5.30 am and were also continuing on to CH CH but sadly CH CH airport is snowbound so all flights are cancelled today.. Oh the joys of air travel. God willing we will all be able to make it tommorrow . We will have our comfy home bed to sleep in tonight and it looks as though they will have to spend the night in a Motel close to the Auckland airport. We are feeling quite sorry for them cause they have allready been about 36 hrs with very little shut eye ( you know what it's like trying to sleep on an aircraft) So urgent prayers for us please that the Lord will open the doors tommorrow. Sounds as though you are having a wonderfull time over in Canada so continue to enjoy every moment of your trip. God Bless. Love Bob & Shirley
