the chicken feet in our soup at dinner tonight
Today we were again up early to leave Cusco at 6am to head to Puno. Was a 6 hour drive but we left earlyish incase of any road blocks. And as it happened about 20mins from Puno we got stopped by some crazy police who literally looked like they had stepped off a horse with stirrup pats and boots on haha! But no one really understood why they were stopping us andthey were trying to make us pay $200US. so we had to get the Tucan tour boss on the phone to talk spaish to him for a while and Stu (drivers) amazing charades weren't quite cutting it! Anyway, who knows what the issue was but after about 45mins we were let off! Just a small insight into what we possibly have in store for entering bolivia - especially seeing as though there are lots of riots at the mo and the border is apparantly closed!

So we played 3.5 hours of Canasta on the bus and El and I were off to a roaring start but unfortunately lost our pace and lost but still a good tie killer on a long bus ride. Its funny how 6 hours now seems really short after our 10 hour rides. And very long ones to come!

We got to Puno, checked in and went searching for banks to get out enough US for the next 2 countries but they wouldnt give us any cash with our apparantley amazing travel cards so we have to do heaps of small transactions on ATM's now at $6 a pop! rarr! ah well!

Went to a damn good place for dinner - chicken and chips again and a few ppl ended up with soup before hand with chicken feet in it!!!

Leavin early again for our Lake Titicaca adventure! can't wait!!!
