Saturday 16 April: I slept until 9.30 am, because I arrived very late the night before. I went down to the reception, paid my accomodation for Saturday and Sunday and asked what I could do during the day in Christchurch. There was not much to do in Christchurch, because the city was destroyed by an earthquake as most of you know. I walked to an ATM, made a reservation for later that day (2 pm) at the haircutter and walked to the Westfield Mall in Riccarton to do grocery shopping. On my way to Westfield Mall I stopped at Drexels for a nice American breakfast (toast with jam, fresh orange juice and an omelet with cheese, bacon and mushrooms). I still had 50 Australian dollars and wanted to see how much New Zealand dollars I would get, so I went to the ANZ bank and they told me that I would get 58 New Zealand dollars, but I decided not to change the money and to save the dollars until I would be back at Sydney Airport (stopover when I fly from Fiji to Thailand) to spend it there at the Duty Free. In the Westfield Mall I checked out three phone companies for simcards: Telecom, Vodafone and 2 Degrees. I chose to buy a 2 Degrees simcard and put 20 NZ dollars on it. The other two companies where much more expensive. I bought groceries at Pack ’n save and went to the haircutter (it was more than 3 months ago since my last haircut in the Netherlands) at 2 pm. I brought my groceries to the Jailhouse hostel and walked to the Botanic Gardens where I made some nice pictures. Unfortunately it was raining the whole day and on a day like this my rainsuit was very usefull. On my way to the Botanic gardens I saw children playing netball in a park and I saw rugby fields. While I was walking in the Botanic Gardens something strange happened: all of a sudden I felt the ground shaking underneath my feeth and when I came back in the hostel they told me that it was another earthquake (5.3 on Richter Scale and 5 km from where I was walking). On my way back from the Botanic Gardens I saw houses that were destroyed by the earthquake. It was horrible to see what an earthquake can do. When I came in the hostel I had noodles for dinner, worked on my blog and photo’s, went on the internet and went to bed.

Sunday 17 April: I woke up around 7.30 am, had breakfast, checked out of the hostel and walked towards the bus that left at 9 am. That bus brought me to the Antarctic Centre near the airport. From there I took the Stray Bus to Kaikoura at 10 am. The drivers on the Stray Busses are also tourguides and they can arrange activities with discount and accomodation for you aswell. On the bus I met a Canadian girl called Mandi and we decided to go Whale watching in Kaikoura when we arrived there at 1.30 pm. That was really amazing, because we saw 3 sperm whales, dusky dolphins, seals and albatrosses. In Maori “Kai” means “food” and “koura” means “crayfish” and this is because you find a lot of crayfish in the water. Marine animals are abundant in Kaikoura, because of the currents and the continental shelf formation. From land the shelf slopes gradually to a depth of about 90 meters, then plunges to more than 800 meters. Warm and cold currents converge here, and when the southerly current hits the continental shelf it creates an upwelling current, bringing nutrients up from the ocean floor and into the light zone. After the whale watching we checked in in our hostel called Adelhi Lodge. I had a 4 bed dorm all for myself and we got free soup before 6 pm. In the evening I played pool with a guy called Alex from England and we got a free pint of Kaikoura Lager (complimentary drink) at the bar. After that I watched a movie with Mandi and went to bed.

Monday 18 April: before 10 am I booked another 2 nights in the hostel, did grocery shopping and had breakfast. After breakfast I booked the next Stray Bus on Wednesday towards Marahau, but I found out that it was already fully booked and that I was second on the waiting list. Then I walked to the Dolphin Encounter to book swimming with dusky dolphins for the next day and walked back to the Kaikoura Museum. On the way I made some pictures and when I came back in the hostel I worked on my blog. After that I had some soup and noodles and at 7.30 pm two Dutch girls played guitar and sang. I also met another Dutch girl called Else and she told me she was also going to swim with dolphins the next day at the same time. I went to bed around 11 pm.

Tuesday 19 April: I woke up at 7 am, had breakfast and left the hostel at 8.10 am with Else to walk to the Dolphin Encounter. We had to be there at 8.30 am and first we had to put on a wetsuit, flippers, mask and snorkel and then the crew showed us a safety video. We went on a bus to a boat which took us to South Bay and when we were out on the sea we didn’t have to look for a long time before we found a pot of dusky dolphins. We went in the water and it was so cool to swim with the dolphins, because they were really playful and came really close to you. So close that you could actually touch them. The dusky dolphins are known for their acrobatic jumps, but if you want to come close to them you have to entertain them by making loud noises or singing a song. When we came back on the boat we were really tired from swimming and singing songs all the time and we got towels, hot chocolate and cookies. Some people got really seasick on the way back and had to throw up. When we came back from the dolphin swimming I had lunch and did the peninsula walk. The track took about 3,5 hours and it was absolutely amazing. I saw bays, beaches, mountains, seals and seabirds and made plenty of pictures. When I came back I watched Lord of the Rings 2 before dinner. Then I ordered pizza with a guy from England and a girl from Norway and we watched Austin Powers The Spy who shagged me after dinner. Then I went for a pint of Kaikoura Lager with Else and Letty (Netherlands) and the guy from England and the girl from Norway and finally I went to bed.

Wednesday 20 April: I checked out and wanted to take the Stray Bus at 9 am towards Marahau. The bus left in front of our hostel Adelphi Lodge, but unfortuately the bus was fully booked so me and another German guy had to go towards Picton with another bus called the Atomic Bus. We had to pay 25 NZ dollar for it and when we arrived in Picton we had to wait for the ferry from Wellington, because people from the north island had to come on the Stray Bus to Marahau aswell. The ferry had a delay of 3 hours so we left 3 hours later than normal. On our way to Marahau we stopped at Matueka to get supplies for the time we were going to be in Marahau. We arrived around 8 pm in Marahau and checked in at our hostel called the Barn. “Marahau” is the main hub to Abel Tasman National Park and is Maori for “Windy Garden”. I had noodles, cucumber and capsicum for dinner and our bus driver made mussels and they tasted really good. After dinner I booked my Stray Busses from Marahau to Barrytown and Barrytown to Franz Josef.

Thursday 21 April: I woke up early and an Irish girl (Sioned), two English girls (Rosalind and …), a German girl (Julia) and me were all going to do a sailing - and walking trip in Abel Tasman National Park. We were picked up by a bus at 8.50 am and brought to the office of Abel Tasman Sailing at a place called Kaiteriteri where we had to pay and where we went on board of a boat (catamaran). We sailed towards Split Apple Rock (really looks like a split apple) and then to Fisherman and Adele Island and at 12.30 pm we got of the boat at Anchorage Bay.We had lunch on the beach and made some pictures. From there we walked back to Marahau following the coastal track. This track took us about 4 hours so we were back around 4.30 pm. I ate noodles with cucumber and capsicum again and our bus driver made some pancakes for us. After dinner we went to a bar with two Americans (Phil and Matt), a Swedish girl (Madelein) and another Dutch girl (Laura). After two pints Laura and me went home and we talked until 2 pm in the common room before we went to bed.

Friday 22 April: the Stray Busses go every other day and Laura, the Americans and some other people left and I said goodbye to them. Then I had 4 slices of toast with ham and cheese and orange and mango juice for breakfast and did my laundry. When my laundry was ready I hang it outside and went into Abel Tasman National Park again to do some more walking tracks. I started with the coastal track again and also did the tinline track and the inland track. At a certain point I got lost on the top of a mountain and I wanted to be back in the hostel before darkness so I decided to go straight through the bush towords the sea. That was very difficult, because it was very muddy and slippery and I followed a waterfall. I fell a few times, got really dirty and got some scratches, but in the end I came back on the coastal track again. From there I walked back to the hostel and on my way back I chilled out on a beach at Coquille Bay. I made a lot of pictures. After having noodles, cucumber and capsicum for dinner again we went to the same bar as the night before with a guy called Sebastian from Germany and three girls (1 from Switzerland, 1 from France and 1 from Austria) we met in the hostel. Because it was Good Friday it was a national holdiday and that’s why they charged 15 % more and closed already at 10 pm.

Saturday 23 April: it was raining the whole day and that’s why everybody decided to stay in the hostel. I sorted out some pictures, worked on my blog and chatted with a Ukranian couple and Sebastian from Germany. I also put my clothes in the dryer, but they where still wet when they came out so I had to dry them inside the dorm and close to the heater. Sebastian and me went to a place called Fat Tui Burger for dinner and both ordered a burger and chips. That tasted delicious, especially after having noodles for the last three days. After dinner I watched the movie 21 on my laptop and went to bed.

Sunday 24 April: we departed at 9 am from Marahau to Barrytown. We headed south through the Buller Gorge to the ‘wild’ West Coast. We made a stop on the way to see the Westport seal colony. We saw the awesome Pancake rocks and their mighty blowholes and finally we arrived in Barrytown near Punakaiki, one of the most beautiful spots along the coast. Always when we arrive in a place with the Stray Bus, somebody from the reception or somebody who can give us more info about the activities, enters the bus. This time a guy entered the bus who was already drunk. He told us that it would be the last Stray party in Barrytown so we were lucky. It would be happy hour the whole evening and it was a fancy dress party where the girls had to dress as boys and the boys as girls. After having a glass of Baz Vegas beer and a chicken burger with chips for dinner we dressed up and had a great night.

Monday 25 April: I woke up around 11 am, made scrambled eggs for breakfast in the most dirty kitchen I have ever seen and we left Barrytown at 12.30 pm. In the bus I showed Hein my photo’s from Dubai. We stopped at a New World Supermarket (the one I visit the most in NZ) and Hein and me decided to cook together and we bought pasta carbonara. Around 6 pm we arrived in Franz Josef and first we all booked our guided glacier walks for the next day after watching an introduction video. After that we checked in at Rainforest Retreat. Hein and me checked in in a 5 bed dorm and we met two other guys that were travelling together: Florian (Fra) and Tomasz (Pol). After dinner Florian, Tomasz, Hein, another girl (Lena from Ger) from our Stray bus and me went to see glow-worms in caves on the Terrace Walk. When we came back we went to bed, because we had to wake up early for our full day glacier walk.

Tuesday 26 April: we woke up at 7 am, because we had to be at the guided glacier walk at 8.15 am. Like almost every morning after breakfast I also prepared my lunch for that day, because I am often away for the whole day and don’t want to spend a lot of extra money on buying lunch everytime. We walked towards the glacier walk centre and first we had to collect our clothes that we were going to wear that day, which were: socks, boots, crampons, overtrousers, rainjacket, hats and gloves. Luckily it was a beautiful day, that’s why we didn’t need the overtrousers and rainjacket. When everybody got his/her clothes we went to busses that brought us to the Franz Josef glacier. When we arrived there we were split in groups of 11 and every group had its own guide. Hein, Florian and Tomasz were also in my group and we started to walk the glacier. We really needed our crampons otherwise we would slip constantly and our guide had an ice axe and made stairs for us in the ice. We saw beautiful ice caves, waterfalls and made plenty of pictures. We came back to our bus around 4.30 pm, came back at the glacier walk centre around 5 pm, returned our clothes and walked back to the hostel. After having a shower Florian, Tomasz, Hein and me went for a 12 NZ dollar meal in the Monsoon bar. I took fish and chips and we stayed in the bar until midnight. The people who travelled with Kiwi Experience (similar to Stray, but more for younger people) were also staying in Rainforest Retreat and were also in the Monsoon Bar. What they stold me about the Kiwi Experience was true: the sexbus. A lot of young girls and boys drinking a lot of alcohol and trying to hook up.

Wednesday 27 April: the Stray Bus left early morning at 9 am and I woke up aswell to say goodbye to everyone. I decided to stay for another 2 days to do some more walking tracks and after having breakfast I went to the reception to ask for a map and if they could advice me some good walking tracks. I walked past the information centre and also asked there which walking tracks they would recommend me. I started with the Terrace Walk, an easy forest walk to a historic sluice face. After that I did the Lake Wombat track, a 1 hr 30 min return track through easy forest and leading to Lake Wombat. The last track I did was the Alex Knob track, a 8 hr track to sub-alpine terrain with superb views. When I came at the top at a height of 1303 meters I had a view over the glacier, lakes, Franz Josef, mountains with snow and the Tasman Sea. I made some beautiful pictures and a movie. When I walked back I bumped into 2 Germans, called Aviv and Fabian and we walked the whole way back together. We talked about our plans for the next weeks and we found out that all of us wanted to rent a car and go to Milford Sound, because this is one of the highlights of the south island. At Milford Sound you can go with a cruise into the fiords. We found out that we were going to be in Queenstown at the same time and in the same hostel, so we decided to meet there again. On our way back to the hostel we passed a Four Square supermarket (one I visit the most after New World) and we bought groceries. When we came back in the hostel I had noodles for dinner and I met Aviv and Fabian again at 7.30 pm in a hot tub, which was a free service from the hostel. I went to bed early, because I wanted to wake up early to arrange some things on internet.

Thursday 28 April: I bought a 24 hr Global Gossip Wifi plan and went on the internet. Then I had scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast like the day before. After that I did another 3 walking tracks. I started with the Canavan’s Knob Walk, a 1 hr return climb to views of the glacier and coast and then I did the Douglas Walk to Peters Pool. First 20 minutes to Peters Pool for a fantastic reflective view up the glacier valley and the whole loop was 1 hr. The last track I did was the Sentinental Rock Walk, a 20 minutes steady climb for views of the glacier. Then I walked back to the hostel, went in the hot tub and had noodles for dinner again. Then I went on te internet for the rest of the evening to download music, publish my travelblog and upload pictures, read the KNLTB and ATP site, check my email and watch the highlights of the eredivisie (Dutch Soccer League).

Friday 29 April: check out day again. The Stray Bus left at 9 am to Makarora. We stopped at Lake Matheson for the amazing mirror lake and we did a walking track there aswell. This was also the only place where we had reception in the area so I used this moment to make a a reservation for the Base (hostel) in Queenstown and to send some text messages. We followed our way to Fox Glacier, a similar place to Franz Josef where our bus driver had to pick up more people and we also made some nice pictures of the glacier. Then we travelled through to the mountainous Haast, where we stopped for lunch and a walk on the beach. We tried to look for greenstone on the beach and some of us were lucky to find some. We arrived in Makarora around 4 pm and after putting our backpacks in the first dorm where I wouldn’t sleep in bunkbeds, we checked out the hostel. We all decided to go for the 12 NZ dollar meal deal and I took lamb shank, mashed potato and vegetables. After dinner we showered and changed clothes in our dorm, went to happy hour in the bar, played some pool and gave our best shot at karaoke, where I did songs as Take on me (A-ha) and Super Trooper (Abba).

Saturday 30 April: our Stray bus left at 9 am towards Queenstown. We passed the beautiful lakes Wanaka and Hawea and we stopped in Wanaka for about 2 hours where 2 English guys from the Stray Bus: Gary and Radj, a Swedish girl called Emma and me went into a cafe called Kai Whakapai for breakfast. I took a fresh orange juice and scrambled eggs with bacon and when we finished our breakfast we went for a walk to the harbour. Then our bus left again and first we stopped at a place where you could buy fresh fruit and vergetables for a good price and where you could taste the fruit and vegetables for free. This fruit was so good, that I bought some golden kiwi’s and red pears, because I never ate those before. I also bought hokey pokey icecream (typical for NZ), which is vanilla with caramel flavour and I added some fresh raspberries to it. Our next stop was the famous A.J. Hackett bungee site, in the Karawau Gorge for the option of throwing yourself of a bridge (bungee attached!). We watched an introduction video and some people already made a reservation for a jump. I decided to think about it first. When we arrived in Queenstown our bus driver Matt drove us around to show us some highlights and he dropped most of us at Nomads and me at Base, because I bought a 10 night Base jumping card (10 nights accomodation for 170 Aud) in Australia. We decided to meet up for drinks with the whole group at a bar called Revolver at 8 pm after dinner. When I checked into Base I bumped into Fabian And Aviv and they were just about to give me a call. They said there was space in their dorm, so I went in there. Then I bumped into a Swedish girl, called Madelein that I met before in Marahau and I asked her if she wanted to join Fabian, Aviv, Louise (a girl from france Fabian and Aviv met) to Milford Sound the next day. She said yes and we all went to rent a car at a car rental company and booked a cruise in Milford Sound. Our group from Stray met for dinner at 7 pm at Fergburger (together with Fat Tui Burger they have in my opinion the best burgers in NZ). After that we went to Revolver and then to a bar called Altitude (belongs to Base) and we ended in the World Bar.

Sunday 1 May: Fabian, Aviv and me woke up at 7 am, because we wanted to leave to Milford Sound at 8 am. We met Madelein and Louise at the car rental comany and when we got the keys from the car we drove to Te Anau first to fill up our petrol and then to Milford Sound. We left early enough and had enough time to make some nice pictures along the way and made it on time for the cruise which departed at 1.45 pm. The cruise took about 1 hr and 45 minutes and we saw beautiful fiords and waterfalls. We had to drive another 4 hours back and we stopped at Subway in Te Anau first for a nice bbq chicken sandwich. We were back in Queenstown around 8 pm, refilled our petrol, returned our car and went back to the hostel. I went to the Fresh Choice supermarket to do some groceries and bought a couple of Carlsberg beers for the evening. I drunk some beers in my dorm with Fabian and Aviv and with two other English guys called Alan and Christian. Then I went to a bar called Ministry with Alan and Christian and then we went to Buffalo where we met up with Fabian and Aviv again and we ended in the World Bar.

Monday 2 May: we woke up around 11 am and Fabian, Aviv, Christian, Alan and me had breakfast. We decided to take it easy that day and to go out all together again in the evening, because Fabian and Aviv would leave the next day. I did my laundry, went on internet, went to Info and Track to ask for some information about bungee jumping, mountain biking and walking tracks. I went into an outlet store to look for a jumper, because it’s quite cold in NZ and I only have one. Then I went to different shops where they rented mountain bikes to compare prices and walked back to the hostel. I walked up Queenstown Hill with Fabian and Aviv where we enjoyed an amazing view over Queenstown. From here we wanted to take the Gondola back, but we thought it was for free and it wasn’t so we walked back. On Queensland Hill you can do a lot of activities, like hang-gliding, paragliding, 2 different luges (downhill go-karting without engine), ziptrek and bungee jumping. Queenstown is so far my favourite place in NZ, because it is such a beautiful place (in the mountains and at Lake Wakatipu and there are a lot of sights of Lord of the Rings), you can do every activity you can think of (see above mentioned and mountain-biking, jetboating, frisbee-golf, rafting, kayaking, canyon swing, body surfing, skying, snowboarding and many more). Moreover there are lots of pubs and restaurants and most backpackers stay there for longer time so you can really get to know the people. When Fabian, Aviv and me came back in the hostel I had noodles for dinner and went to Nomads first between 7.30 and 9 pm to meet my English friends Gary and Radj from the Stray Bus. We drunk some beers (Carlsberg again) and they went on a pubcrwal at 9 pm, so I went back to Base. I drunk a few more beers in our dorm with Christian, Alan, Fabian, Aviv and we went to the World Bar.

Tuesday 3 May: I slept until 1 pm and went to play frisbee-golf at 2 pm (activity organised by the hostel). I had never heard about this game before, but it was so cool. It is like golf (18 holes), but you have to throw a frisbee in a basket. I did this with two other guys from the hostel in the Queestown Gardens. When I came back in the hostel I got a free drink voucher. Then I booked my bungee jump at the Station and 6 luges and the Gondola at Base Travel for the next day. I did my push-ups and sit-ups and went to Fergburger again to try the original Fergburger. It was delicious. I tried to book my busses on the north island online, but I couldn’t so I called Stray up and they changed it so I could book it online again. Then I walked to the Fresh Choice supemarket and bought cheese, ham, eggs and juice. I went for a free drink at 8.45 pm in the Altitude Bar next to our hostel and after that I sorted out some pictures and worked on my blog.

Wednesday 4 May: I woke up at 9 am and went to a shop where they rent mountain bikes. For 50 NZ dollar I rented a mountainbike (full suspension), a helmet and a map and I had to return everything 5 hours later at 3 pm. I went to a place just outside of Queenstown which is called Seven Mile, where you find a lot of mountainbike trails which are quite difficult. The trails were narrow and on the trails there were lots of rocks and roots. They had sharp turns and some of them were very steep. The last 1,5 hour it started to rain and that made the trails very slippery and dangerous. When I came back I was so tired and wet that I stretched, washed my clothes, took a shower and went to bed for 2 hours. I asked the lady at Base Travel if I could do the Gondola and the luges the next day and that was ok.They did 5 NZ dollar meals in the Altitude Bar (belongs to Base) between 6 and 8 pm and I ordered chicken tenders with chips. After that I went for the free drink again at 8.45 pm and watched Lord of the Rings: Return of the king.

Thursday 5 May: I woke up at 9.30 am to do the Gondola and the luges. The Gondola brings you to the top of Queenstown Hill where you have a fantastic view over the city. I took some amazing pictures of the Remarkables (mountains) and Lake Wakatipu. Then I walked to the luge. There were 2 different tracks: the scenic track and the advanced track. I did the scenic track twice and the advanced track 4 times. You needed a helmet for safety and everytime you had to go back up the hill with a chairlift. After I did my 6th and last luge I went down with the Gondola again. Then I walked back to the hostel, had lunch and walked to the Station (where I got picked up at 2.10 pm by bus to do my bungee jump from the Kawarau Bridge (43 meter)) above the Kawarau River. I went with 4 Americans from my dorm (John, Justin, Tommy and Parker). Parker wasn’t jumping so he was making pictures and watched our bags. I must say that I wasn’t really nervous for my jump. It was one of the coolest things I have done in my life. When I came back from my bungee the Americans and me drove by car to Fresh Choice to get some beers (Tiger Beer) for our last night out in Queenstown. Then I went for a walk through the streets and Queenstown Gardens to make some last pictures. Luckily it was beautiful weather. I went for pizza and then to Nomads to meet Christian and Alan one last time for some drinks. I returned to Base for my free drink with the Americans at 8.45 pm and after that we went to the World Bar and Buffalo’s.

Friday 6 May: the bus picked us up from Base at 9 am in te morning to bring us from Queenstown to Mount Cook. Mount Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand and is 3754 meter high. The weather was not great so we drove straight to Mount Cook and arrived there around 2 pm. We checked in in a very nice hostel called Mount Cook Backpacker Lodge, where we stayed in 4 bed dorms and every dorm had a bath. A couple of us decided to go for a walk and I did the Hooker Valley walking track which was the most popular walk in the area. The walk took in the Alpine Memorial, two swinging bridges until the final destination of the Terminal Lake at the bottom of the Hooker Glacier. It was approximately 4 hours return and provided spectacular views of Aoraki/ Mount Cook. On the way back I met a Dutch guy from Apeldoorn and I also met Hein again. When I came back in the hostel Phil (Wal), Maike (Ger), Jalina (Ger),Boon (Den) and me made chili con carne. Then I took a bath, shaved and went to bed.

Saturday 7 May: the Stray Bus left at 9 am to Rangitata. First we stopped at 9.15 am to do some walking tracks near Mount Cook and we did one to the Blue Lakes and one to the Tasman Glacier. We drove through and made a toilet stop at Lake Tekapo and we took some pictures. Then we made a supermarket stop in Geraldine and our driver Tutu went to visit his grandparents there. After grocery shopping we went into a cafe were I bought a hot chocolate. When we arrived in Ragitata I did another work out, took a shower and then we started cooking. Boon, Phil, Hein, another German girl called Sonja and me made bangers and mash. After dinner we watched Anchorman and went to bed.

Sunday 8 May: we left Rangitata at 7.45 pm, because we had to drop some people off at Christchurch, who had to catch a plain and other people had to come on the bus. We arrived in Kaikoura at 1 pm and dropped some people of at whale watching. I already did this, so I stayed on the bus and our driver brought us to our hostels. I stayed in a hostel called Fish Tank Lodge, which was voted 3rd best hostel in NZ (thick matrasses, wooden beds, perfect showers, a widescreen TV and perfect service). I checked in, brought my backpack to my dorm and went for a run. When I came back I took a shower and went grocery shopping at New World Supermarket. When I came back it was dinner time and on the bus I met a Swedish guy called Johan who maid some delicious marinated chicken for us. I added the chicken to to my noodles and added capsicum and cucumber. In the evening we watched the movie Jurassic Park: the lost world on a brandnew widescreen TV. After the movie we went to bed, because we had to wake up at 7.30 am.

Monday 9 May: we checked out and the Stray Bus left at 8.40 am to Picton. We stopped on the way to watch seal pups at Ohau Stream. There were hundreds of them jumping around in front of a waterfall. Then we continued our way to Picton where we stopped at a hostel called the Villa where Hein (Ned), Johanna (Swe) and me had lunch and then we checked in at the ferry to Wellington. The ferry left at 2 pm and arrived in Wellington at 5.30 pm. The last 18 days of my NZ trip I am going to spend on the north island.
