Goodies from America!
Oi! Over the last two days I have received packages all the way from America! I know this is not cheap since I have sent a package there myself, and it makes me feel very loved to know that postage rates wouldn't detour these people.
The first package that arrived was from my brother, Marcus, he had a few things he meant to give me before I left but they didn't arrive in time for him to then send them onto me before I left for California. So he waited until I was safely in Australia, and then he thought that he couldn't just send me something so he asked me what things he could put in the package that the Robsons would like from America. Now the Australians’ don't have a thing on American cheese creations. Their "cheese curl" is an abomination, and they don't have anything resembling a tasty cheese cracker. So the kids wanted Goldfish, while Heather and Simon wanted York Peppermint Patties. When the package arrived the kids were so surprised! They are still going on and on about those goldfish (and I can't blame them).

The next day another package arrived from PA from

Things to ward off dingoes!
some very good friends of mine, Allan and Nicole Bruce, and Bob Campfield. They are some great people. They sent me an assortment of items to ward off dingoes and little treats that can be found in PA, TasteyKakes. I feel very special, so a big thank you Marcus and Michelle Diehl, Allan and Nicole Bruce, and Bob Campfield!

On another note, I drove all by myself the other day! My hot rod is the "Red car" and only one door opens (thank goodness its the driver's side, but I did have to drive my Mom's old Volvo station wagon once when the only door that didn't work was the Driver's side, and boy do you feel ghetto getting in the passengers side door and manuvering your way across the centre console to get to the drivers side) While driving I got a bit lost, but since Townsville is kind of small with only one major road I found my way back again, but since petrol is so expensive (over $6 a gallon) I didn't want to spend too much time wandering around. It isn't too bad driving on the other side of the road, there are plenty of

Lessons learned Mailing to Australia
First I'm glad that there are other people thinking of you and sending you stuff. 2nd, it crazy the ammount of rules there are for shiping stuff. There are even different forms if you are over 4lbs vs under. Hint: you want to be under, its easier and cheaper :) Fact: my box was 3lbs 14oz. 10 York Pepermint Patties of the origninal 42 weren't allowed to head down under and got eaten in Pittsburgh.
