What a week!

I began the week a year younger, but come Wednesday I was 29! It was a pretty ordinary day but I could handle that due to my lovely long weekend plans. My Derby friends did take me out for birthday cake and coffee so I did have a nice afternoon and we did win, ok more like thrash the other team at netball that night.

As far as school goes, it was my most full on week so far. I definitely needed a rest come Thursday. I used my "Australia Day" holiday day in lou and boarded a plane from Broome to Perth on Friday morning.
My wonderful Grandad was there to collect me and it was great to see him. The next few hours were spent catching up with a very pregnant friend of mine and doing a massive shop for all those bits and pieces Derby just doens't have.

At 5 o'clock it was all aboard the Busselton express. Mia and I braved peak hour, holiday weekend traffic (wasn't even that bad) and arrived in Busso about 9pm.
Our digs were flash-as and we will be forever grateful to Carrie's house scouting skills. After a supper of Domino's pizza and champagne we settled into our beds ready for the long weekend to begin!

Saturday morning we shopped around town, and then it was time to start getting prepared for the Waifs! Our taxi came right on time- score - and I had an awesome night of singing, drinking and feeling lucky to have some sensational firends.

Sunday morning started with a feast. Bacon, eggs, sausages, beans, hot buttery toast, coffee and giggles were shared. Eat, drink and laugh pretty much sum up Sunday actually. There was a brief nanna nap at some stage before more drinks, eats and laughs. My idea of paradise came when we were sitting on the back patio with the sun on our skin, wine in hand. One of those moments you wish would last forever.

I'm not doing a top ten this week as there is just too much to list.
I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family who lift me up, give me strength, support me and love me. I guess where ever you are, if you have that you are pretty lucky.
Thanks to everyone who made my first
