Edit Blog Post

once again I pack my stuff and go on the road. this time I'm traveling with my lovley wife Hagit

The difference between living your regular life and traveling is the difference between eating supper with you family and being in the SEDER PESACH. it's all about the extra meaning you choose to give it. For me traveling is a pilgrimage thus the important thing is the way there and the feeling you get once you did the whole journey. if the Everest peak was accessible by the NYC underground then I would probably have still gone but it would not have given me the same spiritual feeling for roughing the EBC trek.

I have once heard someone quoting the following Mark Twain quote as his reason for traveling

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover"

Twain was one of the first modern backpackers but he forgot that while traveling you choose NOT to do other things. So while me and Hagit are off traveling most people reading this blog will continue advancing their careers, studies and families. so don't feel bad. enjoy whatever you do and join us in our travels.

I'll try to make this blog interesting so if possible I will refrain from the usual: got up. took the early bus/train/mule . boy these buses are strange/noisy/stinky. got to the blah blah town. it's a dump. but the view is wonderful. you should see it. (sending pictures) nice guesthouse. tomorrow we climb the whatchamacallit thingy wow!

on second thought - our days are going to be exactly like that 😊

if you didn't get it by now - this will be out travel blog. Hagit will write some of the entires and I will add my 2 cents when I feel like it. feel free to unsuscribe or recomend to others.

3 anecdotes for the road:

1. we drove our leasing car to the El-Al gate at terminal3 and the Avis guy came to to take our car.
2. we heard the Memorial Day Tzfira in the duty-free. the few tourists that did not stand for the sieren made us feel for the first time the "small country surrounded by enemies" feeling right here in Israel.
3. the Dan Lounge is completly empty. this is also where we write this first entry.

CU all later.

Have a great trip!
With such an entry while still here in the holy land I just can't wait to reat the rest. But where are the pictures of NATBAG 2000? :) Have a great time there, even though the Chinese can be hard! I really feel like traveling again knowing that you are starting your own journey to so many familiar places... Well, I'd better stop now. Take care, R.
