Barcelona, everything I have heard and more, another beautiful city. We are staying in the old part of town next to one of the main streets La Rambla which is very alive and happening. We have done 2 walking tours which is a great way to see the city and learn about the legends. Also a great way to meet other travellers. The 2 days we have been here we have covered alot of miles of course by foot uphill and down, I keep thinking it should get easier but it does'nt, makes for sleeping very well at night.
We have seen alot of Gaudis architecture. The houses he designed are truly amazing, he was so far ahead of his time and you can easily see how he was an eccentric genius.
Emily thinks that Barcelona was an excellent place to spend her birthday and had a great day and I think night, she is still asleep now 10.00am so I am not sure what time she got home as she went out with Romy, Laura, Hannes (all from the Peninsula) and Mauro (who came from Milan to see her). Today it's Romy's birthday so the celebrations will continue with Mitchell also arriving in Barcelona today.
When she wakes and gets organized we will do more sight seeing today and then tomorrow we are off to Lisbon in Portugal, another different country which will make it the 4th and last, all good things must end sometime I guess then it will be back to reality and Melbourne's erratic weather.
Hope everyone at home is well and happy, please keep the comments happening. Great to hear from you Julie.
