Its typical in the states to take a cab and occasionally the cabby tries to scheme you....well today, our first day in Morocco it happened!! We were heading to lunch, and the cabby said 30 Dirhams well we didnt' have a change so Cheryl said she would run into the restaurant and get change. He was not too excited about that and tried to convice her for 60 Dirhams he would come back in 3 hours to take us somewhere else. We said no, we didn't feel comfortable with that. Cheryn comes to pay the Cabby an all of a sudden he wants 80 Dirham. Sucheta and I were standing off to the side not knowing whats going on, she leaves away and says she was so confused she just paid 80 Dirhams!! So our cabby confused the heck out of her and took complete advantage of her and then went on his way!
Now, the fear has set in here in Casablanca!! Everytime I step into the cab, I almost have a severe panic attack! We're all used to the good ole USA where the white and yellow lines separate the lanes...which here in Casablanca these lines seem to be optional. On more than one occasion we were in the same lane as oncoming traffic! I could roll the window down and touch the car next to us as well! People walk down the middle of the road as though its completely safe, and almost get hit!! Now, our last cab driver today happened to be fairley safe and the friendliest Moroccan we have met! He helped teach us French and Arabic...although I understood nothing he said..I just nod my head and smile. He also has informed us he loves Bruce Willis!! Hopefully tomorrow we'll be able to find him again!
Well in the past 24 hours I've had 2 maybe 3 hours of sleep! So more updates later!

Not to mention that the actual fare for that route was less than 10 Dirhams!
