I love it here in San Sebastian. The weather isn't brilliant as we have gone north again to the Bay of Biscay near the Atlantic Ocean. It's not raining though so we are lucky as apparently it rains here for more than 200 days each year. We are staying in the old part of town which is charming and full of character. There are lots and lots of bars here which have heaps of variety of tapas that sit on the bar, you just choose what you want and pay for them, very civilized. There are heaps of people in the bars who are all very friendly even if we can't understand them. Everything here is in 2 languages, Spanish and Basque so Em and I have no idea what anyone is saying and we don't understand anything written.
The beaches here are beautiful with real sand unlike Italy. There is a back beach with surf at one end of town and a front beach at the other with about a 15 minute walk between the 2. Today we are going to hire a pushbike to ride around on, yes believe it, Melanie and Pam I know I said I would never ride a bike again (remember that terrible ride we did to Rye) but there you go I am often wrong about my intentions. Hopefully I won't be terribly incapacitated tomorrow.
Hope everyone at home is well and the weather has continued to improve. Nick is 25 tomorrow, can't believe so many years have gone by since he was born!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you have a great day and a great pirate party on Saturday night.

Enjoying the blog
Hi Jane, I love reading your blog and learning about your travel adventures. You might be able to add some extra spark to your SOSE extras now that you've visited Pompei. I'd love to hear more when you return. Jack is so impressed about your visit to the surf beach at San Sebastian. Back here, we are into the full swing of Year 12 end of year stress. Last class next Thursday (Bec can't believe it). Jonny Miller is top dog now. Felix, Michael Mann and Geoff Seletto are the AP's. A number of teachers have been asking about you and I will certainly let the art teachers know that you have been doing some amazing PD in the art galleries over there. Keep the blogs coming. Love Kerrie. (P.S. you are far toooo young to have a 25 y.o. son)
