Sun burn
just a little...looks much better with the sandals on I tried to be careful with the sun but it didn’t help at all. Red as a lobster. The kids had already been to Italy and have been building up a nice defence against the sun already so they are alright.
We are mostly swimming on the beach or in the pool, we also rented a motorbike which we drove for a small excursion and now the kids are screaming for their own ones 😊
We are living at the beach for the moment. In an ordinary bungalow but have been looking at an apartment a few minutes from here. Not at the beach more like in the jungle but with a lot more space and its own kitchen. It felt spacious and comfortable and would do well for our needs but we will also talk to the diving school here after we understood that they have good connections for long stay apartments and houses.
We also visited the Little Swedish School where Arjuna and Sofus will study and yes, it was small indeed 😉 Maybe like 2-3 bungalows and located in a resort close to where we stay now. The language school where I will study are
The road home
The small road to the new place we are staying at for now probably a 30 min. walk from here and we will need to rent a tuc-tuc or motorbike for sure.
There are maybe 10 or 20 other foreigners here now, we are the only ones in our resort and most of the other resorts are empty with only a few scattered “farangs” here end there. The kids expected a full blown tourist place and they will have their wish granted in October/November when the high season starts. Until then we’re almost alone here for good and for bad.
Many places are closed so if we need a continental breakfast we are almost out of options and most bars and restaurants are closed too. But we have found our favourite Thai kitchen already. It’s just a shed by the main road but the food is really great.
The beach is long and quiet and the waves pretty big so we are having a lot of fun playing around in there. Nothing like a morning dip in the Indian ocean, except maybe the evening swim 😉
