Hi All,
I'm getting stuck into my research project and realising that maybe my project plan is somewhat ambitious. Today we have problems with database conversions (John as IT helpdesk is working on this atm) Yesterday it was GIS (yet again) which we have pretty much given up on.
Oh well, its all good, all a learning experience! I'm just hoping I have enough time to get organised before my field work.
The other researchers are really interesting and helpful. They are really interested in the stuff I'm doing and they seem to be similar to us, left leaning, socially conscious etc. They come from all over the world.
We are going out for drinks & dinner to the Foreign Correspondents club with our new friends, Isabelle & Rob (from engineers without borders, one is french, one Aussie). Ah Margaritas by the Mekong!!!
Its really hot & muggy today so a cool breeze with drink in hand is sorely needed.
Especially as the southern baptists who run the joint are, as you would expect, teetotallers ( a very different bunch from the researchers).
Love to all
Kirsten

Sarah and I
Hi Kirsten and John, My computer is giving me a lot of problems at the moment so am writing to you from my computer at AZ. On Sunday afternoon Sarah and I drove to your house. Sarah wanted to go for a drive and really wanted to see where you lived. I phoned Owen at the house and on his mobile before we left home but couldn't contact him. So we drove there anyway. Sarah really loved the area and your house. We had a cuddle with the Pye and he hopped into my car and almost went to sleep on the back seat. While we were there we saw some ripe tomatoes so picked them and also picked some snow peas and parsley. Hope you don't mind. We made a lovely salade. Driving back from your house we saw 4 rabbits. Yesterday we drove to Bondi and did some shopping and had lunch near the beach. It was a lovely day. Today is freezing and raining. Sounds as though you are meeting some really interesting people. Must be great. Have fun!! LOL, Mum, Dad and Sarah. XXX
