They rebuilt the whole place, it used to be a pretty small airport in the past, that's like more then 20 years back now though..

After a smooth trip from Frankfurt to Bangkok we arrived after another short flight to Krabi airport. Happy but a little tired and considering the food on the airplanes we really where looking forward to some proper Thai cuisine.

As usual they had several taxi services and information booths to choose from and all wanted our attention pretty bad. We decided for a lush and green place on Ko Lanta directly instead of staying in Krabi the first night as we first planned and asked the people in the blue shirts for a taxi there.
We ended up in a pimped VAN with a huge boom box and disco lights as well as a chilling aircon unit and a nice lcd display. That made the 2,5 hour drive and the 2 ferries it took to reach the hotel a little easier 😉

It is also easy to forget the wonderful dampness and the evening heat while sitting in a freezer that cruises the Thai roads in 100km/hour.
The driver was for once not one of the kamikaze troopers and we had a kind off a pleasant drive to Ko Lanta. His wife attended her personal life and

spent the entire trip on the cell phone. It sounded like the most exciting family drama with the only catch that her audience couldn’t understand a word.

When we arrived at the resort it didn’t really looked like in the brochures at the airport 😊
However the restaurant and the bar were open and we could at last start slacking.

Nice!
Hej!
