Today we got up early and the kids were down stairs already having brekkie with Jens mum so we headed down stairs for a cuppa. Jake and Jen wanted to take us out for breakfast so we got ready and went down to a nice little cafe and had a real nice brekkie and food was good. After brekkie we carried on to the tram stop and caught the tram into town. The tram fare was really good $ 2.00 for a all day pass which was well worth it. We all hopped off not to far from Powells book store which is a massive store and it is four levels high.It had evey type of book you could think of they were used books and new books and they all ranged in price. We all had a good time looking at books and the girls had a ball looking in the kids section. Abby got a few of Dr Seuss books that we had not seen before and the girls got some books to read aswell .

After the book store we headed towards down town for a bite to eat. We stopped at the local street carts that are very popular and have a wide range of foods from all over the world. Abby had a soup and the girls had spring rolls and I had fish n chips. All the food carts where packed with people and all the food was very good on price. We finished our lunch and headed to one of Jake n Jens good spots for coffee.

We all had a cuppa and it was very good nice flavour. We soon headed across the road and caught the tram back to where we hopped on and walked back towards the house.
Portland is a really great city to be in there is so much to do and see and it’s all in a short walk from the tram so it is a really good way to get around. The people are really happy and there is a good vibe about the place and we felt at ease here, We can see why Jake and Jen love it here.

We got back home and the Kiddies watched a movie and Abby hopped on the lap top and I had a nanna nap. We were having Burritos for dinner so me and the bro headed down town to get some bru’s. When we got back dinner was ready so we all sat down to have it. The meal was great and was really yummy all organic food and full of flavour. We soon finished up dinner said our goodbyes to Gordon (Jens dad) as he was leaving for montana early the next day. Then got the girls sorted for bed and we both had a cupper and watched abit on the box then headed off to bed.
