Hello all! Well Im pleased to say that we survived the Hong Kong experience! It was certainly a culture shock...dirty with a capital D, an overwhelming guff of the worst kind from start to finish. We arrived with great enthusiasm to be faced witht he most dire looking hostel we have ever seen, think leo in Bankok in the beach...but worse! Am very impressed we managed not to check into a 4star hotel. next day upgraded so bit better, thankfully. With the exception of this we still had a great time, we took a night cruise through Victoria Harbour which was amazing and took a near vertical tram ride to the peak, with breathtaking views...well they would have been if not for the smog! We eagerly anticipated great food only to be met with frog everywhere, in some cases alive and we believe ready breadcrumbed at the door! Which was quite a culture shock! still a definate learning experience! Just arrived to a fantastic Bankok! Glad to have left the smell behind us! We overtook two elephants on the road, to make it to our hotel (one had a reflecter on its tail!) Hotel great, weather a very nice 35 degrees (mosquito bites x6 all nic). Very excited to start exploring!

35 degrees sounds fab, i'd guess it's about 5 degrees here and raining! Is your hair still as straight or has it turned to frizz in the humidity!! I can't believe the size of your rucksack, i'd of got my whole wardrobe in there (minus the shoes)! Enjoy the sights of Bangkok and hopefully better food. Love Chrisey x
