Oh I went to the Capital Museum with our class and it was cool and my camera was out of batteries.

It rained earlier today and by the time we got out of class, the sky was clearing up and we could see blue!!! After over a week of grey, I was so happy!! The rain must have taken some of the pollution with it or something. I don't know how these things work but remember that they were inducing rainstorms around the time of the Olympics to clear up the air?? The visibility was better than I have seen since our arrival! I didn't get the sense that there was nasty crap just hanging in the air, like I did yesterday when stuff 50 feet away looked hazy.

So it was a good day to take some pics of our neighborhood and apartment building.

Also I then went jogging around the Olympic Park for a couple hours. It is amazing at sunset and in the evening! The Water Cube and Bird's Nest were spectacularly lit up. I loved the blue of the Water Cube. Also lots of the trees were lit up turquoise, purple, all kinds of colors. And there was some event that was playing upbeat music and was shooting a really powerful-looking green laser around the sky (plug that magnetic trap!!!). I can't look at lights cycling through different colors without thinking of tEp... HUGS AND FELCHES!

I've been using my camera less. That saying, "the camera gets in the way of your view" is really true I think, at least for me.

A nice courtyard with trees and tables and stuff. People like to hang out here and play cards and chat.

I haven't seen anything like this back in the U.S.... a delicious frozen treat made out of green beans (not like the long ones but little ones that I also haven't really seen in the U.S.). Anyway I kept seeing commercials for this stuff on the bus and they made me want one. Really good.
