Today, Keisha & I met with Imane, the owner of Imane Moroccan restaurant in Duluth, GA. The restaurant has only been open for 6 months & we had not heard about it till we searched for it online. Imane had read my email last week & agreed to help us with our fundraiser. She was very curious to know about what we will be doing in Morocco. Coming from that region, she was quite aware of the culture & societal needs. We discussed our program & our fundraising idea at length over mint tea. We decided to have a dinner party at the restaurant where we will invite our friends, community & the public to experience an evening of culture.

An extensive buffet will be prepared by Imane's chef, a portion of the cost will benefit our cause. People would be welcome to purchase beer, wine & hookah for an additional charge. Entertainment of belly dancing & live DJ will also add festivity to the evening. A Moroccan gentleman is going to give us a briefing on the history & culture of this enchanting country. Lastly, attendees would be able to win many prizes in raffles & silent auctions throughout the evening.

We are planning to have the event on June 27th from 5-9pm. Keisha is working on the flyers & marketing materials. Tickets will be available soon. Everyone is invited but please RSVP. Thank you Imane & your crew for opening your hearts & doors to us!!!
