Last week & Ko Samet

Hello everybody!

Greetings from the sunny Thailand! This week it is getting even more hot and guess what, it is still the cold season here...

Last week I didn't do too much, previous weekend was so tiring that I spent my days chilling at the swimming pool... :p On Wednesday we went to the center of Bangkok to do some shopping and in addition to that we also got manicure and pedicure done again in a very nice place, me, Anete and Marjolein were all sitting next to each other and there were 2 ladies taking care of each of us at the same time - that's service! 😊 We went to a sushi/thai place for dinner, all-you-can-eat buffet, but sushi were not that good, we focused more on fish and other stuff, we could cook it ourselves on the table!

Friday me and Anete went to hairdresser, because she wanted to color and cut her hair. So that I would not be bored waiting, they offered a spa hair treatment for me for free. Nice, huh? 😊 And then they dried it and made nice, that was a pleasing experience :D We were offered drinks and food as well, why don't I get this service back home?!

Early on Saturday we went to Ko Samet (Kho Samed), a beautiful island south east from Bangkok. First afternoon was cloudy with warm showers once in a while, but we still enjoyed the beach a lot! We took a cab (they have like jeeps with open back and seats in there) with 11 people to a quite beach away from all the people, was a perfect afternoon with cocktails in the sea :p Later on dinner on the beach of course, a few meters from the water, very relaxing, nice music... Then THE party started, at one of the bars, crazy dancing on the dance floor and in the sea, cocktails (served in buckets...), water pipe, nice people, great music! And afterwards a swim in the sea at 4 AM. That's what we call a holiday 😊
Sunday was HOT and very sunny, we spent the whole day swimming and chillaxing on the beach, being totally lazy, but that's what holidays are about, right? When coming out of the shower in the evening it was not that much fun anymore.... WAY TOO MUCH SUN TODAY! Total lobster-face... SPF 50 has apparently been too less... Now I am very brown, maybe even a bit too much I would say... We had nice dinner on the beach with live music and fire show performed by 10 Thai guys, very impressive, and their bodies, wow - you can learn about muscle anatomy on those :P
We spent the night on the beach, there were many stars in the sky, weather was great... Set the alarm to watch the sunrise, amazing! There are some pictures.
Then the paradise had come to an end - we took a ferry back to mainland at 8 AM, a taxi back home and went to school right away after a shower...

Monday afternoon I realized that I have an allergy from a mosquito bite the previous night, had to take some pills and deal with high temperature and sickness, they even wanted to bring me to hospital... But I just stayed in bed also the whole Tuesday and I am better now, so no worries 😉
