Hey Hey Hey!Hey Hey Hey!Hey Hey Hey!

"why does the black man always get left with the drugs to get caught?"
After the Full Moon Party we just did as we usually do, swim
, eat, sleep and read. We organized a boat trip around Ko Pha Ngan with a boat trip called Reggae. We set off in the morning an hour late of course, and got on a huge long tail boat with thirty others. The little Asian/Jamaican/Bob Marley wannabe tour guide rolled spliffs for everyone at the beginning of the boat trip. They just kept getting passed around from the little guide rolling them at the front of the boat, talented. By the time we got to the first beach we were all smashed (but not Erin!! Not after last time... some of you will remember those stories…) and there were still whole joints that no one wanted to pocket or save because everyone was to scared, so they were thrown away. There was a guy on the boat I gave a whole joint to that no one else wanted and his remark was "yeah always leave it with the black man to get busted with it". Funny. It was fun but then everyone became very very quiet and very very stoned. At the first stop we visited a waterfall called Than Sadet and swam in its really beautiful fresh water. The second stop we visited Bottle Beach which was divine, crystal water, palm trees and white sand beach. We had lunch here and had a swim, then jumped (well I slowly walked) back on the boat to go to the next stop, Thon Nai Pan for snorkeling. The sun was not completely out so the water was not that clear to see all the fish like we hoped but still fun. Erin had a quick swim, still afraid she would get bitten by something again.

On the way home the sun set was amazing but then I started to feel a bit crook. After spewing off the side of the boat a few times things were not looking to good. When we arrived back to our hostel I could not stop throwing up… then Erin started. SICK AGAIN!!!! The worse thing was that we couldn’t look after each other because we were in too much pain. After hours of pain Erin decided to go to reception to ask if a doctor could come to our hotel, he said that can’t happen so we had to catch an open back cab (basically ride in the back of a ute) to the hospital. Painful. When we arrived at the hospital they thought only Erin was sick, so they left me in the waiting room even though at this time I was throwing up more. They made me fill out forms until they realised when I ran off to spew that I was sick too. We were both given injections and medicine then when they said it was ok to leave I threw up again so they wanted us to stay. They put us both on drips in beds next to each other with matching hospital pajamas that matched the bed sheets (like a children’s sheet from the eighties). We spent the night there and in the morning we still felt crook so we stayed the whole next day there too. Ok now this ‘so called’ hospital was gross: it had mosquitoes, a broken TV (no sound), the nurses would give us a needle without any gloves then straight after open up their food and eat it. The used needles would just be thrown in a bin next to our beds that still had vomit. The toilet stank and did not

great to swim in fresh water for a change
flush, the bins were not emptied for two days and the food we were given to try to eat (which we were scared to even eat because of the pain we experienced) had ants floating in the soup.

They made us stay another night even though in the evening we were fine, (We think they just wanted the insurance money). During the last nights stay, late, they didn’t check my drip and it ran out, my blood started to flow back up the tube so I took the initiative to find the nurse and make her take it out. She did this half asleep and ripped it out side ways, ouch!!! In the morning Erin was still sick and in pain but that was fine they got enough money out of us and said we could go home. It sucks that the time we got sick was when we were paying for the most expensive accommodation, typical. Bygones. So for the next few days we just relaxed, and Erin spent a lot of time sleeping while I rented a motorbike and rode around the island.

We left the island on the 20.03.06 to go back to Patong Beach

Thailand has a very big Raggae influence which is suprising.
at Phuket because Erin loves it there. We left at seven am and was told we would arrive at one pm and of course arrived at five pm. We met two Aussie guys on our bus Sean (my new little brother) and Sam who are 18 and from Perth. They are your typical young Aussie guys who love there footy and girls, it was an interesting change to hang aroung different guys, different to our Valley boy friends. We found some accommodation with them very close to the main strip in Patong and are staying really close to the Dragon Club hehe. Geo is the name of the hotel and its $18 a night with air con, cable and a separate toilet from shower (HOW GREAT IS THAT - so rare in Asia, most of the showers don’t have curtains and are right over the toilet), and its only one street from the beach and on the main clubbing street, Bang La. They also have the best western food we have had since we left home! It was storming when we arrived but we have been blessed with amazing weather so spent the rest of the night on the internet,

eating and watching TV. Oh and going to the chemist cause Erin has a rash on her hands that another chemist in Haad Rin told us it was scabies. The Haad Rin chemist gave her an acid to put on her hands but now coming here and going to a proper chemist we were informed that it is just a rash and the cream Erin was given in Haad Rin was burning her skin and making it worse. Ha! Poor Erin though, she is letting me make fun though which is good of her!

Our next day in Patong we went with our new friends jet-skiing, went right up to this massive cruise ship that has docket there. It was great fun, then tried desperately to darken our fading tans, went shopping and had some more western grub for dinner. Erin had her hair dyed because she is a big sissy and couldn’t stand her re-growth any longer. We went out as a group on the town again, with some more people in tow. We were headed to Dragon Club but were intercepted by someone holding a menu for ‘punani art’! These women do amazing tricks with their vaginas, and we decided, when in Thailand, do as the Thais do!! (not the art… just observe) So we stayed for one show, which included shooting darts to pop balloons, shooting bananas into the air (which makes a lovely sound mind you), playing a trumpet, shooting ping pong balls (which Erin caught in her hands, but not her bare hands of course!) and writing a sign which says “SEE YOU AGAIN WE LOVE YOU” which Erin kept as a memory. I don’t know who this new Erin is, or what she did with the old Erin, but I like her! The menu consisted of a blowfish, swamp eel and mice. I swear if i saw anything like that i would have been sick. Even her punani was enogh to make me sick hehe let alone what she was doing with it. Well at least we can say we have seen it (thinking that is what will help me sleep at night). Once again we went back to Dragon Club, this time with Jenny getting up on stage in her boozed state and getting jiggy with the girls, and another club called Sharkey’s where they had girls in school uniform dancing on stage (Erin’s favourite) and when someone rang the bell, they paid 1000 Baht (about AU$30) and everyone had free tequila shots. They were Erin’s first tequila shots ever!! These ones were pretty watered down, but we got her with a strong one later in the night. After Dragon we went to Banana Club, which is just like a bad city night club, (read: meat market), where you had to pay entry, but got two free drinks at the bar. The music was quite good, it was our first real dance for our holiday. So we danced and danced, and it shut at 2am, so after more tequila shots, we hit up Cookie Karaoke. Thai people like to sing very boring slow, slow, slow, (can’t emphasize enough: SLOW) songs, which got us pretty bored, but finally our songs came on and we did a wonderful group sing-along to Unchained Melody and some other tacky crap. I tell ya, we were the life of the party. We stumbled out of there at 4 am and the whole street was shut. There was no where to go and we were still keen to party.. so we had to stumble home to bed to do it again tomorrow night. Great night bad bad hang over today. What better way to cure a hang over than laying on the beach and doing nothing!!

Love your guts
Jenny and Erin xx

PS Mum we are kinda safe! And hung-over!
