rv spot near the beach
the rv park was full so we parked just outside, taking advantage of the location, without the price tag attached We have found waves, finally.... one problem, they are a bit big for us. Were still going out and paddleing around tho! Sayulita is really nice, a bit touristy, but everyone is super friendly. Were free camping, moving the RV from the beach during the day to the street at night. There are many roosters living in Sayulita.... makes it difficult to sleep in the morining. Also there is some sort of cart guy selling somthing, and on the cart is a very high pitched whistle noise that goes off every 15 minutes... he stays out very late at night. oh, there are also a couple of discos in town that like to blast their music. I guess were used to the RV parks (where old people stay) and our bed time is in sync with them.
This guy from Alaska who has been living in Sayulita for 8 months bought a board bag off of us (simon´s board didn't fit in his bag) and told us to go to Tacos on the Street for dinner..... best tacos for 12 pesos (grilled veggie) Dollar tacos.... very good and cheap. We also enjoyed some chocobananas (frozen chocolate dipped banana´s on a stick)
olas muy grande
these waves were a little nutty, the photo doesn't really do them justice though It´s pretty hot here, but is super nice at night because it cools down. Jordan is nursing a sunburn, from sitting out on the beach watching the surfers rip it on the big waves.
Were probably going to head out tomorrow and get some distance in, I´m ready for Guatemala!
Trooper has made a new friend, with a dog that is not afraid of him (this happens often). He lets her hump him, and we tell him it´s the wrong way around, but he has fun anyways!

mooey gran-day!
Ola surfer group! It's sure nice to read your blogs. I sent a comment earlier but it looks like it didn't show up. Sounds like things are going well for you - even the sinking in the sand worked out. $20 and you were out! Another adventure to tell your grandchildren about. I can't believe the waves are too big for you! If you can surf the westcoast of BC, you should be able to handle warmer waters - but that's my inexperienced opinion. I know how big the waves look when they are crashing down on you! Joslyn - I would think the big waves would be the ultimate challenge for you. Too bad Trooper doesn't like the water - it might be the salt. Keep taking him in and he might get used to it. What a life he is having now - I bet he never guessed what would happen when you took him home with you. Chevy would be so happy to be travelling and swimming with us. I hope you are taking lots of pictures. Can you post any to this blog? If you are heading for Guatemala, it sounds like you will be getting to Panama earlier than March. Rick and Deb are still there until the end of January. Rick is building a road. We are enjoying a very mild winter here - it feels like spring. Only problem is there is no snow on Cypress for the Olympics - it all got washed away so they have to bring in snow that they stockpiled. Trees are already blooming, tulips sprouting up. El Nino is giving us a nice winter. I can't wait to see you guys in Panama. I am getting excited already - and I'm constantly checking the web for more info on Panama. We'll be there on March 5th for two weeks. Maybe Jos can give me a surfing lesson - haha Thanks for blogging - we are all thinking of you and trying not to worry about your escapades. Stay safe and keep having a blast - you are making awesome memories. See you soon!
