You want me to smile right now?
This is the most nerve-racking part! So - I did it! And I have the pictures to prove it 😊 It was probably the scariest thing that I have ever done in my life, but they (who?) say that you have to do one thing every day that scares you, so I figure this could count for
all of 2010! The cool thing was that as we were doing the countdown to jump off of the ledge those of you back home in Halifax were counting down to midnight on New Years Eve! It was pretty neat to think of that (and it helped me keep my mind off of what I was actually about to do - at least for a second).
The jump itself went so quickly - it is actually hard to remember how it felt! I remember being super scared, the countdown 3... 2... 1... JUMP! I knew that I had to go when they said go because otherwise Brett would have just pulled me over the edge with him - so I went. That first second of free fall was the most unbelievable feeling - I can't even describe it! Next thing I knew, our heads were in the lake and
we were flying back upwards again. Then, there we were, just dangling there waiting for the boat to pick us up. What a rush (and also the most expensive 10 seconds of my life). Brett and I were both on a high for the rest of the afternoon - and I still get that dropping feeling in the pit of my stomach whenever I think of it.
