This is it. Three hours until I'm off to London Heathrow Airport and on my way to Nairobi, Kenya. WOW!! My time in England has flown by and I can't believe its time for the next stage of my gap year! I've had a wonderful stay here and was able to see all of my family! This past weekend I took a train from Reading to London and then to Manchester to visit my cousin Alex at University. So much fun. We went clubbing with 3 of his house mates and I had a amazing time! It's much different then Toronto.. the atmosphere, music, dancing... everything! After staying at Alex's for 2 nights I took another train to my aunt and uncle's new farm house in the beautiful English countryside. The next day I returned to my Grandparent's house in Reading. I have really enjoyed spending a lot of time with my grandparents, its the first time I have visited them without my mom or sister! The best part about being here is waking up to breakfast in bed! A bacon sandwich and a perfect cup of tea.. how else would I ever want to wake up!? They have spoiled me while I've been here with everything I could possibly want which makes getting on the plane tomorrow even more difficult. But I am excited to really begin my adventure. I will have a few days in Nairobi before I meet my group with whom I will be sharing a bus with for the next 2 months traveling! As of now I will only be getting 2 hours of sleep tonight so im off to bed (if i can sleep with all this excitement!!). Goodnight! xoxo

!!!!!!
So excited for you Lines!!!!! I'm so jealous right now - I would LOVE a bacon sandwich and a cup of tea at Nanny Joyce and Bob's! Hopefully you managed to get atleast a little bit of sleep tonight - or maybe its better you didn't, maybe this way you'll be tired enough to sleep on the plane! Great start to your trip! Good luck tomorrow - be SAFE. I love you so so so so much!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love, your favorite sister, (okay maybe tied with Elizabeth), Emily Marie

WOW, is exactly what Mom and I are saying as we have just hung up from speaking with you!! You are just getting on the plane in London. Yes, we are worried, but as your parents, and that is normal. You are so mature, Liney, and you will continue to grow in so many ways over the next 7 months. We will be thinking of you and your adventures every day!! We love you, so much!! Dad.

You Go Girl!
Hi Lovey, We just hung up the phone and know that shortly you'll be boarding your flight. I'm so excited for you, this is going to be an amazing growth experience for you. So many people have said that when you return, you'll be a different person - you'll have grown so much from the people you'll meet and the sights you'll see and the incredible things you'll do. Soak up every minute of it and enjoy. But when you come back you'll always be my sweetheart girl. I love you honey, sooooo much! Dad and I are with you every step of the way. Mum xxx
