After a good nights sleep in the hostel, it was time to visit the Argentinian side of the falls and at last the sun was out.

On this side you could get up very close, there were two routes - one across the bottom of the falls and one at the top culminating in the Gargantua Diablo - the Devils throat, which is a crescent shaped drop where most of the water flows.

I spent all day at the falls and they were truly mesmerising, the photos don't do justice to the power of the falling water so I have included a few videos as well.

After the falls I nipped over to Paraguay, there are 3 countries that meet at Iguacu - Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay and I decided to take a bus over to Paraguay so that I can see them all. It was pretty dangerous over there, even the bus drivers carried guns!! The border town of Ciudiad del Este is very much a cowboy town and is famous for the availability of counterfeit goods, drugs and prostitutes - I came back empty handed though:-)

When I arrived back to my room I was in for a shock as two beautiful French girls where in my bed (it's not often I say that) actually they were sat on it:-) So I started chatting to them and to add to the ambience one of my Argentinian roomies was strumming some chill tunes on his guitar - all we needed was a bottle of wine:-)

The next morning I visited the bird park near Iguacu falls on the Brazilian side, you could walk in 8 metre high aviaries with hundres of native birds from Brazil. This was a bit risky though as I was playing with a toucan it started trying to eat my fingers, I had a craving for Guinness at the time, don't know why:-). Later on a parrot flew into my head, soon after a macaw flew onto my shoulder and bit my ear - just managed to make it out of there alive.

After the bird park I headed back to the hostel to pack up ready for my 23 hour bus journey to Rio.
