The diving gang
Me, Ohad, Itamar and Yuval I spontaneously decided to go to Eilat with three of Roees friends two weeks ago. We bought bustickets and left at midnight. The busride is five and a half hours from Haifa to Eilat. We arrived there very early in other words. Our first diving lesson started at 9 in that same morning.
I first completed a one star diving class, which allows me to dive down to 18 metres. The course lasted for five days starting with lectures and movies in the morning and ending with dives in the afternoon. In the first three days we did a lot of excercises under the water like taking off our goggles under water and putting them back on, emergency excercises in case you run out of air or loose your regulator etc. During the first course I did 6 certified dives. After the first star course I decided to stay three days longer to complete the second star course. The second star course allows you to dive to a depth of 30 metres. At the end of my stay in Eilat I had 12 certified dives.
I stayed in a hostel together with Ohad, Itamar and Yuval. Three very amazing
guys and so much fun to hang out with. Ohad and Itamar dived for the first time like me, while Yuval completed his 30th dive during our trip. We also visited the Coral World Underwater Observatory and Marine Park in Eilat. They had many aquariums with fishes from the corals in Eilat. They described what were the most important features of the fishes and lectured us about safety and how to treat the environment when diving.
