Just got back from 3 days in the jungle. We walked up a ridiculous number of hills and then down again whilst sweating buckets as it is 35 degrees outside. We rode an elephant through a bog, up a stream and camped over night in a bamboo hut in a hill top tribe village. The next day we walked some more!! Stopped off at 2 waterfalls, saw tarantulas and bats. Stayed the second night in a really basic- no electric hut. Where the dogs, pigs and chicken lived underneath and were woken up by the cocks crowing. They cooked inside the same hut so now we are all smoked out. Last day we did some white water rafting which was good fun and very wet. We then swapped onto a bamboo raft that was submerged due to 6 heavy people being on it! Enjoyed a variety of thai food with differing quality...entertainment from magic tricks to a dancing cat😊
Leaving Kim tomorrow to do her elephant project, while we head into Laos on a slow boat down the Mekong River to Laung prabang. Our first land border crossing, fingers crossed we can actualy get visas once we get there!!
Hope you like the photos now Kim the genius child has shown us how to do it.

Russ has defo got the hardened traveller look, e.g. beard. Carina, jesus lady, where have you disappeared to, start eating something, may be one of the pigs you are sleeping with.. Is it true, do the locals eat the dogs?? :-) No you are on target for arriving back to England 'size 0'
