Was up quite early thanks to jet lag so I got my stuff together and got ready. When I came back in to the room the couple in my room had moved into just one bed which was awesome (not!) so I was quick to get outta there and go get my breakfast. When I came back in to the room to get my stuff since I was switching rooms (long story!) the couple were doing stuff in the bed that I just didnt need to see haha. (2nd time in one week.....just my luck) Moved into my new room with 2 irish girls who are super nice.

We hopped on a free Auckland tour with Kiwi Experience around 10 am. Our driver was Dave who was pretty funny but a bit nutty too haha. Our first stop was the Auckland Harbor bridge. We geared up with hard hats and waist harnesses. We then got attached from our harnesses to the railing underneath the bridge and walked out to the middle of the bridge where they have it set up to do a bungee jump. No one on our tour wanted to do it so one of the tour guides demonstrated.

He just non chalantly ran and leaped off the edge. It was crazy! We stopped and took some photos of the city before walking back to the bus. We drove over the bridge then and stopped for lunch at a fish and chip place. The chips were really good with sea salt on them mmm. The we drove up to the top of a small dormant volcano crater. Learnt about some Maori battles that took place and saw a huge canon that is pretty useless.

We got dropped off back at our hostel and then decided to go walk and get some groceries. Tonight was movie night at the swap offices here called IEP so we checked it out. Watched Scarfies, a movie made in NZ which was pretty interesting. We also got burgers and chips from a place here called Burger Fuel. Huge burgers! Oh ya, all burgers here come served with beets on them....random! But delicious!

Came back to the hostel and did my laundry, real exciting haha!

The weather was a bit cold but I haven't really needed a jacket. In the mornings it's a bit cool and a bit of frost up here in the north but by 10am it's nice enough for a tshirt. Acukland was colder for sure but not that bad!
