IMPORTANT: Moving to Private Blogging?

Edit Blog Post

With the crazy world of blogging and the internet the way it is now, I may be moving to making my posts private entries instead of public entries. Only those people on the list that I allow will be able to see those posts. I would do this for entries about the school or something that I wouldn't want parents of my students to read (personal stories, etc.)

For this reason, some of my entries (unless strictly about travel) may be moved to private. If you are someone who reads this blog often and would like to be included in those blogs as well, please post a comment and let me know.

Thanks!

Like to be on list
I have been following your adventures since we were in Honduras at the same time in 2006. We were stuck in Tegus for 10 days and I checked travelblog for other entries from Honduras... I just retired from 33 years of teaching (mostly primary) (and five of those years overseas) and would like to hear your school stories. Add me if you like! You can view my blogs under beebe. Lynn

Would love to still read your blogs Sarah. I stumbled across them while you were teaching in Honduras a few years ago. As I passed through the country in the early 1990's I was intrigued to read your perspective and how things have changed there. Would love to continue to hear your updates especially now given the current political climate. Best of luck in your new home. Cheerio, Lillian

I love your blogs!
Sarah, I have been following your story since before I moved to Honduras with my whole family (including my three kids 3,5, and 7). We have since moved back to the states again (Maine for now) as it got too corrupt and dangerous where we were. (La Ceiba) We never got residency either so we could not invest any more money into a business we were trying to start there as we were afraid it may just be that we would be kicked out and then have to leave our business behind. I still love Honduras and noone who hasn't been there will quite get it in my family. They all thought I was kind of crazy to move there in the first place (we used to live in a big house in SF, California area.) Anyway. I love your blogs. By the way, I used to be a teacher myself (before kids) and taught Deaf and hearing impaired kids for ten years. I really respect what you are doing and wish you the best this school year. My now 9 yr old son is in 4th grade so I love that you are teaching fourth! Take great care to enjoy it all. Please add me to you blog list. Best Regards, Carol Lynn (samandcl@yahoo.com) Oh and when we stayed at a friends home in Tegus we were "warned" not to travel alone (without armed drivers) to go anywhere and I thought that was BS until we heard about a threat of kidnapping Expats...I still don't know if I believe it...but it is a wee less safe than I was comfortable with - with my kids so yet another reason to come home. We had them in really great schools (the older ones). Mazapan was the name (Do you know it? in La Ceiba? it is the only "American School" in the city. If you facebook...I am Carol Lynn Willer Featherstone and would LOVE to add you as a friend. Your tales are so great and now I still enjoy Honduras through your tales. if you do NOT facebook. Consider it...it is so much fun to connect with folks on that. You may want to change your last name and have a plain profile pic if you don't want all your students and families in your business. Again - thank you for your posts and blogs...CL
