Sometimes, Lenin asks me to come up and spend the night with him at his work in the border town of El Espino where he works for customs. He has to work a 24 hour shift, so he leaves on the first bus out of Moropoto at 6.30 am and leaves El Espino at 7.30 am the next morning. Sometimes, he asks me to come visit. I´m going again tonight... it will be my 3rd time in about a month and a half. I don´t mind accompanying him at all... breaks up the week.

Tomorrow is our 6 month anniversary. Which is, amazingly, not that strange at all.

very very interesting
Guess I'd love to hear more details about Lenin's border patrol job (i.e. guarding the border from what, for example? drug smuggling? illegals crossing? guns? terrorist groups?). What happens to a 'suspect' once he is apprehended? Does Nicaragua have a justice system comparable to ours, with courts and juries and representation for the accused? Would you consider their sentencing harsher than ours or more tolerant? ..................just curious!
