Mission accomplished.. We are going to Antartica!!

I can bearly believe it, nor can I contain my excitement. I am so thrilled about it.
Lo is very excited too, we cant sleep, we cant eat!!

We are leaving on Monday on a swanky 13 day cruise on The Marco Polo.
The best bit about it too is it is so cheap we paid $1000US, and it should be $5000!!
There are lots of people from our hostel going and apparently a total of 200 backpackers on board - so should be fun (lower the average age a little).

Feel a bit bad for the people who booked early, not only have they paid loads more, they will not be expecting 200 people to arrive with backpacks and combats!

I will be on the cruise for my birthday too, (17th Feb) which is brilliant!

On an Antartic cruise!! - last year I spent my birthday on the M6!!

This is our boat and the destinations. We are also going to the Falklands, and loads of other cool places. My brave uncle Ally served in the Falklands war and have wanted to go there ever since he came home. I will find the Stanley Arms and say hello for you!!

A bit of unexpected luxury, the boat has everything, imagine... a hairdryer! Am looking forward to that outside jacuzzi, with the Antartic in the background! LOL!

I dont know what we will wear for the captains dinner - our usual going out clothes (jeans, flip flops and a black top..) might not be suitable. I think it will be like the Titanic with all the poor people downstairs having loads of fun, while the posh people eat upstairs being bbooorrriiinnngg!!

We finish the cruise back in Buenos Aires and plan to see some football and lots more before we then go to Chile!

Anyway we have got to go shopping, we are going buy some gin to sneak in, some more suitable clothes and some rubber boots for when we land on the Antartic!

Hayley, you sound to be having a whale of a time. Wish I had the guts to do the same. Happy Birthday, soz it's abit late, had my head somewhere else, not the paradise you're in. Everytime I pick up your news you give me a big lift and make me chuckle alot. I'm now in my 4th week of CMS Ltd. got loads of great opportunities coming up, first one starting next week, so had a nice time off getting prep. and relaxed. I was in France last week doing some speculative work and managed a visit into Paris. I want to live there, there's so much class and style about, one day maybe.
