The museum is on the Navy base. So we drove from Vicksburg, MS to Pensacola, FL on Fiday the 20th. We ended up spending one extra day and night in Vicksdurg because there was a lot to see, good food and good luck on the riverboat casino. The next target was the Naval Aviation Museum on the Naval base in Pensacola. Damned if I didn't see diesel fuel in Mississippi for a buck eighty four a gallon. Should have bought some just because but didn't need any. My background as a pilot was civilian having learned to fly in '75 at Livermore Airport in California. In another life however, I'm sure I would have been a Naval Aviator. This museum has aircraft from World War I all the way up through the present day stuff. It also has an IMAX theater. Except for the movies, it is free and they also do not cost taxpayers anything. It is financed through donations only. Marilyn had already been there so once again I was out there "solo" and taking my own pictures. By the way, we stayed at the Pensacola RV Park which had only been open for a few months. It was nice and new so everything worked. It

World War 1 German fighter. was also only 20 minutes from the museum. Now as good as it was, I did it in about an hour and a half because I don't need to stand and stare at stuff except the Corsair for very long. I'm the same way with photo albums. Ya, ya, ya, git 'er done. After the museum, I really didn't think I would be up for the entire drive from Pensacola to Lake Como near Tampa all at once but I got into my driving mode and did it. Marilyn almost didn't make it and her entire job is to sit there and look out the window and get me stuff to eat and drink. I don't know how she does it. What a trooper! We rolled into the club at about eight thirty only making 3 brief stops along the way. So now we are parked here and played some tennis and renewed old acquaintances yesterday which was Sunday, our first full day here. It is absolutely great to be playing on clay again. My body thanks me profusely for it the whole time. Starting next Friday for 10 days is the Superbowl of volleyball so I will no doubt

Favorite WW 2 fighter. play some of that too. We are planning on being here until May first give or take. There are three big clubs to visit here and we know people at all of them. The only side trips will be to south Florida including the Keys and a cruise. Ya know, I have a nice motorhome and I am very happy with it. It is doing a good job. In fact, it is really designed for this rather than sitting for months at a time, but I am parked next to a guy named Frank. Frank was the CEO of the DOW for 32 years. He is in a Newell motorhome which is in the 2.5 million dollar price range. He has a Hummer and an Austin Healy and 6 dogs I am hoping aren't too noisy. Especially for Marilyn's sake. I sleep pretty soundly but Marilyn wakes up and starts crying if an ant crawls by. Anyway, enjoy the pictures and we miss everyone back out west but not the current weather.

Travels ...
I hope you guys are planning on a little 'rendezvous' to Michigan - if you take your sweet time, you can get here after the snow is gone and the leaves are popping. :-)
