We got up a little earlier today since we had to move out of the hotel before going to the theater. I like longer stays; it’s really nice to not move for a while, but then I unpack a little more and get a little more moved-in, and that’s when things get left behind. Alas, I got all my things packed in time for me to have breakfast with some chillins. Went to the theater for a 10:30 school show, patched, took a nap, waited for the show to start around 11:15 (busses and things were late or something), loaded out, enjoyed the hot weather. We hit Sonny’s for lunch again, this time getting a bit bigger portions. We ran a few errands and hit the road! The drive to Tallahassee was only a few hours and fairly painless. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a nap in, but I did finish my book and read pieces of the book Sarah just finished. I started a new one for myself tonight.

Once we got to Tallahassee, Kyle and I ran some errands- Radio Shack, Walgreens (I flirted with the pharmacist), the bus. Nice chat. As we were leaving the mall, we passed a pet store and went in to look at the puppies! Kyle still said we can’t get one for tour, but I got to hold one for a minute. Well, sort of a dog- it was a dachshund. We picked up the other girls and hit IHOP for dinner- yum. Sort of random. We had a conversation about the Apostle’s Creed and the Rosary. For knowing as little about traditional church and traditions as I do, everyone was surprised at the amount I knew about the Catholic Rosary. I still remember 95% of it. We also talked about how almost all of the state capitals are boring cities. Most of them are fairly pathetic excuses for big cities anyway- Olympia? Carson City? Harrisburg? Tallahassee falls in that category too.

Dana and Sarah came over and we watched Hidalgo. My hair is especially big tonight, sort of like a lion’s mane. Pretty impressive, actually. Speaking of impressive. I don’t usually wear shoes as much as I can get away with it, and I have a large amount of things I can do with my toes- the amount of dexterity in my feet is only slightly smaller than that in my hands, and I can move them all individually. I learned these things from my dad. Picking things up, pinching, removing socks, pinching… and I always figured everyone could because both of us can, and even my mom a little. (Tato is still waiting to be fully grown to develop such talents.) Sarah, on the other hand, has a hard time moving all of her toes at all, let alone individually or with any skill. I’ve never known someone with such retarded toes. In order to pick up her sock off the floor with her feet, she had to use them both and sort of tong it. Wow. Maybe we’ll get her some exercises to grow those muscles in the next few months.

We’re still enjoying the heat. The car thermometer said 86 when we came out from lunch. But really, I think 74 was the high today where we were. I definitely got a tan from reading yesterday.
