Hi All,
I'm sorry that it's been so long since my last entry, but it has been hard to find an internet at times and we were staying in a different place each night on our travels in South Africa.
We are now at Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds in England and have been here since Wednesday, 4th February. We were worried that we might not get here as the airport had been closed due to the snow storms, however, we arrived on a non-snow day and picked up a car and drove the two hours to our present destination.
Bourton-on-the Water is an absolutley beautiful little Cotswold village and although we have been here a couple of times before, we have never actually stayed. We have a lovely apartment in a main street right near the village centre and although it is snowing off and on and is cold, we are just loving it. We have been to a few of the neighbouring villages as well.
I was hoping to update the African trip etc. with some photos, but this machine doesn't seem to allow uploading, so just a brief entry today.
We have been watching the devastating fires in Victoria (130 dead at present) on the TV and hearing about how hot it has been at home and will take the snow any day. I have videoed the TV with the fire reports showing the snow falling outside our window, just to show the comparison.
Hope all are well and will update with photos as soon as I find a computer which will upload them,
Love,
Jan

IT'S BEEN SO HOT HERE!!
Was surprised to read that you actually made into the Cotswolds as we've been hearing stories of the difficult travelling conditions in England. Don't forget to visit Upper and Lower Slaughter while you're there. Looking forward to seeing quaint pictures of you and Ross standing by cute water wheels in front of thatched roof cottages. All here are "feeling" for the Victorians who have lost their homes and families and friends in the fires. BUT as usual the Aussies are supporting the victims in countless different ways. Take care of yourselves. LOVE ANN
