Today we went to Louis' parents beautiful house for a South African barbecue which is called a braai. It was just delicious and below are somer pictures of how a whole lamb is cooked on the braai. The vegetables and a very long sausage were also cooked there.

THE S.A. BARBECUE
The thing that I noticed in these photos Jan, was that BOTH the men and the women are huddled around the cooking lamb together!! How very different from our Aussi braai. Don't those springboks know that the guys and their beers are supposed to do the cooking, while the women sit under the pergola preparing the 'slaw and solving the problems of the world. LOVE ANN
