Jaimee and Louis were married at 4 pm (S.A. time) in the gorgeous church below. The wedding was wonderful with the bride and two bridesmaids arriving by horse and cart. The ceremony was lovely with Louis' brother Willem singing the theme from "Lion King" as Jaimee walked down the aisle. He has the most beautiful voice and was runner up in the S.A. Idol over here. He is now recording a CD in Johannesburg.

After the wedding we went to the reception which was at a beautiful place called "The Kwerkery." It was all absolutely fabulous with about 120 people including around 26 Australians. Much fun was had and many friendships made and lots of "Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi! Oi! Oi!"

Here are some pictures from the wedding.

Jamie's Wedding
Dear Leolady, I loved the photos of Jamie's wedding and notice a strong Carrier trait in the bride. And what about that church's spire!!!! It looks like a skinny ladder for the congregation to climb. LOVE ANN

Jamie's Wedding
Jan this is the second comment I've written. My other one is out there, somewhere in cyberspace. I see such a CARRIER resemblance in Jamie's photo. She looks beautiful.

Hi Karen, It's great to hear from you. I have had trouble getting to the internet as we have been travelling so much, but am in Capetown now before flying out tomorrow for England where it will be freezing. You'll all have to help me catch up when I get back, Cheers, Jan

Hi Ann, I'm responding to all your comments here. Yes, there are quite a few gum trees around Cape Town now and the people are just wonderful. We have just come back from a day at Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated and ex-political pisoners show you around. Although it was a terrible time for them, they do not bear grudges and South Africa is, I think, a much more pleasant place than when you were here. The church was huge and it's a wonder the roof didn't fall in when Ross and I went in. Keep the comments coming, Cheers, Jan

Cotswolds
Hi Ann, Yes, went to Upper and Lower Slaughter, Broadway, Snowshill, Cirencester, Stow-in-the wold, Burford and Stanton. Not bad considering the snow, Cheers, Jan
