The jungle temple is north of Angkor Thom. It is a wonderful place to see and everyone should make the effort to see it. The temple has been left alone since it was found and there are no plans to restore it to its former glory as archeoligst plan to study it. You can get lost for hours here and my only regret about my trip was that I never went back to this place.
The trees that are growing though the temple look good in the pictures, but 10times better in person. It puts into perspective that no matter how skilled man was or will become, nature takes control eventually.
As usual around all the temples there are locals, especially small children trying to sell you anything they can. We did buy a few things like postcards and scarves from them and nothing on offer was more than a dollar. There is not much point in haggling to much as you are already getting value for money and the dollar is worth a lot more to them than it is to you. We were walking towards the temple and we were surrounded by lots of kids as Jessica had bought a 3 scarves for a dollar and they all homed in on us. One of the young boys started to sing a pop song in the charts just now(Beautiful Girl by Sean Kingston). Jessica sang one of the lines and for the next min she and the young boy were singing together. The other kids were all laughing and smiling which bought a smile to my face
