Spending the last few days here in Tokyo, been taking it easy my leg isn't improving much. Checked out Hibiya Park, a really nicely done up, "Western" Style park near the Imperial Palace. I really liked it last time, peaceful, but didn't have much of a chance to look, so I made sure to look this time! Although it was razed in the war it's about 100 years old I believe, shortly after Japan opened their borders to the world.

From there checked out the Sony Building, decided to see if anything had changed from the last time I was there. They had some really impressive TV's, Laptops, and other assorted gadgetry. The custom engraved laptops looked very very nice.

Staying in a high end hotel for my last few nights here, it's REALLY nice. I'm up on the 24th floor with a great view of the city, check out the pics.

Ok so since writing that I had a heck of a scary adventure... I somehow lost my passport. Not sure how or where, but last night I noticed I couldn't find it, tore the room apart. So I followed the Canadian website's guide and went to the police here, filed a report (that was fun, he spoke as much English as I speak Japanese) then from there went on to the Canadian Embassy. Actually before going to the police I thought I would call the embassy and see if anyone turned it in. However when I called and hit 2 for "emergency" I got a nice voicemail saying leave a message and where I can be contacted and they will get back to me in TWO DAYS TIME. Obviously their attitude of emergencies and mine are not the same.

Anyways, went to the Embassy (it's pretty nice, and lots of security) and got the 5-6 forms to fill in (literaly) Was told I would have to give the name of two people and they'd be called Japan time, meaning a phoen call at like 2am for some unlucky soul (or two).

To say I was stressed is an understatement. So I'm sitting at the computer there forwarding some info they needed when she came over and said that my passport WAS FOUND!!! Told me which police station to go to and went to pick it up, WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow I leave for Canada, then

time to start paying this trip off!

So ya, I think I'm glad to be going home now!
