Flight to Prague

Not quite the flight route I took to Prague. The stops are correct but we flew over Northern Canada and Greenland to get to the connection in Amsterdam.

As many of you may well know I am currenty embarking upon a 50 day adventure in the Czech Republic. For the rest of you, now you do! Yesturday, for me, I don't know when for you guys in Vancouver..., I landed in Prague after an eight and half hour trans-Atlantic flight to Amsterdam via KLM, the Royal Dutch Airways (and I will add it is by far the best air plane company I have flown with, everything about it was a head and shoulders above any other company out there, and it was then put into higher esteem when compaired to the flight from Amsterdam to Prague... but that's another story.)

When I landed in Prague, I had a few choices on the methods of which to take to reach my hostel. There were taxis (fast, direct, but I'd probably end up paying a lot), some sort of shuttle bus (I never really looked into this, but it would also end up costing more than I'd rather pay) or transit (cheap, VERY cheap... like $1.50 cheap. For an adult. From the airport. 7km outside the city. And pretty easy to navigate). Needless to say I took transit, which covered

everything from buses to trains to trams. Actually that's all it covered. And I took them all. And in that order.

And from what I've seen my time here in Prague is going to freaking amazing. And I have hardly seen anything at all! But it it's anything like the view from outside my hostel... The streets are narrow and cobble stoned curving around pre-communism appartment buildings. But I'll let some photos tell more about it when I get some.

But I've been stalling here and I have things I need to get done today, like buy food for dinners, upload photos, move money around in my bank accounts and see more of the city... Enjoy some photos of me packing, if I can find out how to upload them.

Hi Thanks for the link. Sounds like your will have a wonderful time. Samantha and Damian liked Prague. Sammy said it is very pretty. Claire Runci will be in Prague and Cseski Krumlov at some time before 3rd of Nov. Do you have her as a friend - if you do maybe it would be fun to meet up? I am in Melbourne for Julia and Bernard's engagement party. Have a great time. By the way - your room doesn't look too messy to me;) Merrin
