The Begining
This is where we first started to walk I AM BACK!! So After my first week back I have my first update. This past weekend a few coworkers and I decided to go try the beach near work. You would never guess by work that there is a nice beach nearby. Since our beach trip went so well we decided to try another adventure on sunday. We jumped on a train and headed south along the coast. Our goal was to head inland to get to a grouping of waterfalls. The place is near Iga just south east of Nara. We had to make an exchange but we seemed to figure it out pretty well. Once we got to the train station we started our walk. I had heard that once you get to the station you just walk and its all nice. However, the people failed to mention that you had to walk from the bus stop and not the train station. So we ended up walking through a town and in some mountains to get to this bus stop. From the Bus stop it was a 2 hour or so hike through the waterfalls. Now mind you we had already walked over 40 mins. I think in
Nice Small Town
Here is a shot of the town we were in total we walked a good 10 miles or so something really crazy. We walked from about 10 in the morning and didnt stop until 4 or so.
The hike itself was great. Lots of work and very steep climbs. The heat was pretty bad as well. The nice thing was we were able to stop at a few spots and dip our feet in the water. There were a lot of people on the trail but as we got higher the crowd thinned out. When we got to the top we came out to a road and a food stand. No one was around and the old lady running the stand did not seem like she was too amused with us. She also charged us an arm and a leg for drinks. On the way up a helpful guy pointed out a bus stop at the top. When we asked the cranky lady about the bus stop she kept insisiting there was no bus around. So we decided to hike back but along the road instead of the way we came up. After walking and hiking for a long long time the flat road seemed easier than climbing down
Random Marking
This was on the map we had looked at so we knew we were going in the right direction rocks. As we walked we realized we were all pretty tired. It became a rough march back, but someone pulled over in a truck and offered us a ride to the train station. IT WAS THE BEST RIDE EVER. Oh and on the way down a bus...from the bus stop that didnt exist or stop in that area drove by us. Which lead to a nice NOOOOOOOOO STOPPPPP from Shaun. Either way the trip was tons of fun so enjoy the pictures.

The Albino Gumby was empowered by your fierce Metallica shirt.
Ah, I was kinda hoping for a pic of the grumpy lady. At least someone was nice enough to give y'all a lift back down.
