Well we have some unfortunate news...our laptop computer has died!!!! It served us well for many years but unfortunately could not stand up to the power of Samuel's reach with the mug of tea. Yes, while chatting with Nanny and Poppy on Skype yesterday (Sunday) Samuel managed to reach (man his reach is getting too long) the tea and proceeded to knock it over the keyboard. The computer continued to work yesterday but now the keyboard won't work! Otherwise it seems to be fine but we just can't type!!!! Thankfully the hotel we are staying at in Ottawa has a free computer for guest use.

Yes we are in Ottawa. We had a great weekend with Darlene and the boys. We went to the beach on Sat and did a little bit of shopping. Yesterday was a lazy day, although we went out for a walk yesterday evening and got caught in a thunderstorm!!!

We took off this morning and headed on to Ottawa. We stopped along the way (just north of Kingston) and had a great picnic by Rideau Canal. Fortunately three boats were coming through so we got to watch the opening and closing of the locks. It was a nice relaxing hour...

When we arrived in Ottawa the first few hotels we tried out were all fully booked and we were informed we would be hard pressed to find somewhere to stay! Thankfully we did and so we plan to spend some time here tomorrow, maybe checking out parliament before moving on to Montreal. After that we'll head to Quebec. We anticipate getting to Halifax on Friday or Saturday.

No pics this time because I wasn't sure about using this computer for that.

Anyways, who knows when you will next hear from us but I'm sure you will before too long. We love reading the comments and messages from people. Thanks for keeping in contact with us:-)

Bye Bye
PLS

Hi guys! I'm loving reading your blog. Great to keep up with your cross-continent tour. Also like that I'm able to live vicariously through it. It must be great to see such a large amount of the country. You even make it look like fun! Sorry to hear about your computer...I bet Scott wishes Samuel spent some more time around ours so he could get a new one. Looking forward to seeing you land in your new home. Cheers, Lucinda
