Day 5 of the Safari For Souls Campaign in Moshi, Tanzania

Our Final day of the week long outdoor campaign
Taking the Gospel out to the Soweto Area in Moshi, House to House, one study at a time
2 More Put on Christ in Baptism Today, making a total of 4 for the week
We held a 4 day Children's Seminar at the Church Building
174 CHILDREN TODAY, that makes: 672 Children total this week that attended Bible Class in MOSHI
and George Jensen preached the Outdoor meeting each afternoon

Jeremiah 32:39
and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me always,
for their own good and for the good of their children after them.

It's such a joy to be able to join together with fellow Christians to work together for a common goal of reaching the lost, and sharing with them the love of Christ and opening up the Bible to begin teaching the truth of God's word! So many of them have never held a Bible much less read on on their own. Others have a family Bible and have little to no access to it as they are growing up. This week has been about taking the Gospel, out to a world lost and dying in sin, to bring light unto a dark and dismal world. The hope that lies within the knowledge of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, gives you an assurance of stability in a world that is very unstable and uncertain. I had a young man tell me today that he would rather go hungry than to have missed the oppertunity to study God's Word together, as we skipped over his lunch hour. Desire and longing to learn, to be taught, and to soak up the Gospel! A feeling like nothing you can describe.

Matthew 18:3
and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children,
you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19:14
But Jesus said, " Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me;
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Just finished sitting around the living room talking and laughing, going over the stories of the day and getting to know each other so well after enjoying a few good BBQ Sandwiches and Mama’s old Recipe for German Potatoes Salad, then finishing it off with a little dab of warm Peach Cobbler… and sweet fellowship that just does your heart good! It’s so wonderful to have people in and out of our home; it’s something that I love just about as much as anything else in the mission field! Everyone sitting around the living room laughing and talking, playing games in the floor with the kids. Our house, our home, our family…. Is open to you anytime you’re ready to head this way! Half the time we’re trying to get everyone convinced that this won’t be their last trip… and to begin working on setting a date for their next trip over! Allowing the love for Missions to grow in the lives of everyone who steps through the door!

The week has finally come to a close and we had a great campaign here in Moshi. 2 more were added to the church in baptism today and that makes 4 total for the week, but many wonderful Bible Studies started and continuing in the local Soweto area that surrounds the building, and then 174 children attended the final day of Bible School Class. So in total: 4 New Christians, several restorations, I couldn’t even begin to count the number of Bible Studies held, and a total of 672 children counting all 4 days of Bible Class!
That’s a lot of kids coming and going through that swinging metal gate! Today was much calmer that the previous days, with less children than we expected but one of the Tanzanian women had told me that if their parents had farms or fields that the children would be out tending to the crops or animals on Saturdays and not able to come….

So there were:
93 children on day 1
174 children on day 2,
231 children on day 3,
And 174 children again on day 4.

In the morning we will be worshiping at Moshi, Ralph will be teaching Bible Class and Ryan will be preaching the sermon. This is what we call our “Friend’s Day” at the end of the Week long events… No telling how many will be there, but normally we have to drag in mats to sit the children on the floor in front of the podium and the children surround the feet of whoever is preaching, while the adult’s crowd in the auditorium and the singing will just be amazing! I’ll try to see if I can record some of it in the morning. We’ll all wash a load of clothes, pack our bags and hit the road Monday morning transporting the visitors down to Arusha, for next week’s Leadership Seminars and Children’s Seminar. We will all be staying at ACSOP..The Preacher training school in Kisongo, so I don’t know how often I will have internet access to update the blog but I will try to every time the opportunity presents itself! I know that the families of those who are here working love seeing and hearing the news of the day and knowing that their little ones or husbands, are all safe and sound!

Let us get some well needed rest and begin in the morning with an amazing Lord’s Day to start of the 1st day of the week in the best possible way ever! IN PRAYER, Thanksgiving, Adoration, Love, Patience, Worship, and Awe of the mighty God we serve and all that He is doing this week for the Glory of His kingdom!

Thank you all for your

constant love and prayers! We miss each of you dearly and have been thinking of several faces that we wish were here right beside us this week, to share in the love laughter and life in Tanzania!

We love and miss you all!
In His Service,
Brent & Julie Richardson

P.S. My Big Camera (The Canon) had a melt down, So I've boxed it up to send home with Ken to the repair shop in the states to see if it can be fixed... So I am dependant on the camera that a sweet friend of mine left behind for me to use when my other small digital one was stolen with my purse back in March... So you can thank Debra for her kindness and sacrifice in passing hers on to me then, for the pictures from here on out in the blog reports.

Julie, thank you again for your hard work, your hospitality, your exciting updates and for loving our girls. Your family and the Jensens have been a highlight of the trip for the group - and for all of us. We are also very thankful for the church in Moshi welcoming and working with and feeding and caring for the group; as well as the neighborhood for allowing the work to be done there. In more ways than we can count God has blessed us. Thank you.
