This blog is a collection of photos from the last few months here in Seoul. We've been quite busy switching jobs, sightseeing and tearin up the town on our newest purchase - a scooter!!! In addition, we have both landed side jobs teaching English to execs at Swiss Bank. Todd is also privately tutoring one of Korea's most famous comedians, Kim Yung Chul, who has become a friend of ours.
Many of the photos are from our day at Gyeongbokgung Royal Palace, which was originally constructed in 1394. It's actually a huge village where South Korea's kings and over 2,000 palace workers resided for centuries. It is truly like stepping back in time. It was freezing on the day we went, but we agreed it's the coolest thing we've seen yet in Seoul.
There are also some photos of our new private school, which we are loving. Some of our students didn't speak any English when we started a couple months ago and are now talking in full sentences. We have top-notch facilities, an outstanding curriculum and very sweet kids. We're really enjoying the new position.
We've also attended a few baseball games recently, though we're not sure
which team we are behind. It's not like American baseball, or even Japanese, but the crowds are rowdy and there are even cheerleaders. We miss the hot dogs - the only thing you can get here is dried squid!
We also recently celebrated our three-year anniversary. We had a lovely dinner at the top of Jongno Tower downtown. We managed to stay out until dawn (I guess we're not THAT old) and had a very memorable evening. We even stopped by one of Seoul's most famous tourist attractions, Cheonggye Stream.
In the last couple of weeks we checked out the Seoul Zoo and the Korean War Memorial. I dragged Todd to the Museum to see the Dead Sea Scrolls, which were rather disappointing since the exhibit was only in Korean. However, it was cool to see such ancient documents and the essential birth of Christianity.
That's it for now. Be on the lookout for our blog on Shanghai, China. We're headed there the second week of May.

And, he washes his hands regularly?! I hope he set the rims on fire before you had to touch them with your whipper skippers...
