SNOW DAY

So, it snowed on Sunday which was great, but I really only left the apartment to get some schoolwork done at taskisla. On Monday, we woke up to even more snow, and some light flakes coming down. Our professor had gone to a funeral over the weekend, and it turns out that his flight was delayed too, so instead of a normal class day, we had a snow day. The whole group traveled to Sultanahmet by tramway and we played in the snow at a park in front of the aya sofia.

This random guy, I'm assuming he was a tourist also but he looked somewhat Turkish, came up to the people I was walking with and myself. He handed his camera to one of my friends and then picked up some snow as if he were posing in a snowball fight with me. Then, right before the shot was taken, he actually threw the snowball at my face. This is the aftermath.

It looks beautiful there! I'm sorry you got creamed by an angry foreigner, but I'm glad you're having good times. We sure miss you guys here - Beaux Arts Ball is tonight, and then David's black and white party, and it's going to be weird not having you there. :( Hope you get more snowdays!

Had a great time in Gatlinburg, wish you could of been there, however, looks like you have plenty of snow for yourself. You don't have to much longer. Make the best of it and enjoy. It will be a memory that will last a life time. Looks like a beautiful place but I like the front porch view from your apartment much better than the back porch view. The walk to school looks a little scary. Be safe and have fun, we love and miss you.
