The days have started to melt together in the beach paradise of Zipolite. Typical day starts early, we are staying at A NICE PLACE ON THE BEACH. It costs us 3 bucks each a night. Spend the day jumping in and out of pristine warm water with huge waves, huge surf, and a crazy dangerous undertow. The town itself is about one block long and the beach is lined with cheap cabanas full of travelers from all over the world. Americans are outnumbered savagely but we tend to be teh loudest ones in the bar. The sunsets are incredible and usually are met with a beach full of silent people appreicating the beauty of it all. The place grabs you in like some kind of drug and I had serious thoughts about ending my journey here and staying for another month before returning home. The nights are spent drinking the A NICE PLACE and a nearby raggae bar, if you are into the sort of thing (which I am not, Mom) dope is dirt cheap and seems practiaclly legal. I gues in the summer it rains a little more but I have talked to plenty of gringos who got caught up

down here and haven}t ñeft. I might join them somethime... seems like a great place to spend the darks days betweem the superbowl and opening day. Adventure beckons however and we are slowly shaking off the drug of bliss. As early as tommorow we should be riding our way into the state of chiapas toward san cristobal and then the ruins of Pelanque (where people also seem to never leave) and then it looks to be on to Gautemala and beyond...
morale high.... check engine light on... and now there seems to be a problem with the heating valve....
if anybody reading this happens to know the laws about abandnoing cars in mexico drop us a line...
