I went snorkeling in the open ocean!!!! AAAAAND....I ATE LOBSTER and liked it!! Woohoo!
Our day started early because we needed to get to the harbor. When we got to the harbor, we were met with cold drinks and smiling happy faces with a backdrop of the blue, open ocean. We took a catamaran ride out to the coral reefs, and they handed out snorkels. I looked at Chris like, ¨I´m not doing this.¨ Then they said,¨Experienced snorkelers over here and beginners over here...¨ Needless to say, I didn´t hear that and got in the experienced line and Chris was psyched. Then, just jump...ummm...what? Ok, I can do this...and JUMPED. I had to take a moment to NOT think about what might be under me and pray. Then, I clutched onto Chris and away we went!! The rest is history. I swam in the open ocean and watched amazing things swim around. We saw SQUID!!!! So cool...then we got to go in an area with SHARKS and sting rays. The guide said they were vegetarian sharks...whatever, I don´t believe them. I will let Chris tell you all about my reactions to the sharks when we get home...he said I did a weird scream thing through my snorkel.
After snorkeling, we swam in the Carribean Sea waiting for fishing boats to pick us up and take us to an amazing seafood restaurant (again no walls---but SOOO beautiful). We have lots of pics to show you when we get home. I think Chris ate 5 lobsters and 30 shrimp. I had 4 bites and then ate chips and salad. Tastes like chicken...
We had a 30 minute walk along the beach back to our resort and got to ¨barter¨ with the locals for cool D.R. stuff. Along the walk we saw some interesting things...many women forgot to pack their swimsuits--weird, huh?
We got back to the resort and went in BOTH pools and CRASHED like a Mac-Truck hit us in a ¨Bali Bed¨ We fell asleep listening to the island music playing and really drunk people from Spain yelling...soothing for some reason.
We ate a yummy dinner and came here to write to you. Not bad for one day-eh? Next stop...another nap on the beach before we order room service and go to bed.
Tomorrow? I´m hoping for a lot of reading while the waves crash...

Oh I'm so thrilled for the two of you...Isn't a trip like this just amazing? Just keep enjoying every moment!!!! Make some wonderful memories and come home and tell us all about it. I'm loving you both!!
