It's been a couple of weeks since we last put up a post. We hope everyone enjoyed all of the pictures we put up of our trip to Spain! The past fortnight has been quite busy. Work, as usual, is busy with constant marking and lesson planning. But, those are the joys of the profession! Students are quite fascinated that Miss Paola and Mr. Truong are dating. We often get questions like "Sir, are you and Miss Paola married?...Are you going to get married?" "Miss, do you and Mr. Truong have kids?" It certainly starts some interesting classroom conversation, which sometimes leads into asking questions about Canada. 😊
We are extremely excited about our Christmas holidays! We get two weeks off at Christmas, so once again we have been planning an adventure to see as much of Europe as we can! We have decided to go to Berlin, Germany for 4 days, followed by Zurich, Switzerland for 4 days, and finally Paris, France for 5 days. We've booked our flights and we've booked our accommodation in Berlin and Zurich. We have yet to book accommodation in Paris. We plan on booking that this week. Spending New Year's Eve in Paris should be fantastic!
Christmas is in the air! The main square in town is beautifully decorated with lights and displays. It's very pretty and romantic walking through the centre of town! It'll be hard not seeing family and friends over the holidays, but at the same time we're embarking on a tremendous adventure and making memories to last a lifetime. We'll be sure to take lots of pictures to share our adventure with you!
To wrap things up, we'll add to our list of new "English" words. Fit = attractive, dodgem cars = bumper cars, cellotape = scotch tape. That's all for this week. We love you all!
