I really don't think there's much to say about it....I can't even explain...I may be able to later when it hits me that I went there and saw 2000 tons of human hair just sitting in a room...and luggage and shoes....40,000 pairs of shoes! all of victims. yea. I'm attaching a few pix. though.


I also tried absinthe. OWWWWWW. I couldn't even do one full SHOT. I took one gulp and YOWZA! My head hurts. Which is also the reason for the wee little blog. Tomorrow though, I promise when we get to the hotel I'll have a much better and more entertaining blog 😊 Damn absinthe. damn it to hell.

after the trip to Auschwitz though, we had a decent dinner at our hotel, then set off to wander Krakow. THis really is a gorgeous city. The City center where the market is, is just too cool. Even at 9pm tonight there were random street musicians, people dancing with fire and just people everywhere having a great time. the city was untouched by WWII so most of the buildings are quite old. Some, have been around 200+ years! anyway, for now, here are a few pix from Auschwitz-Birkenau.


They are pix of different barracks, and the rubble is one of the krematoriums that the Nazis blew up as they left. We did go into one of the gas chambers today and some of the old barracks. It's unreal. I'm still processing it. I have been wanting to go there for so long, and it's not like it's a funfilled day....it's just really sobering and I just think everyone needs to see it.
