Yes thats right have gone a bit snap happy but here are some pictures of koh samui and koh pha ngan which didn't make the last entry

Last morning in Koh Samui - amazingly managed to get up for the sun rise and sat on the beach to watch it with Tom and George(the dog who belonged to the owner of the bungalows we were staying at) - I think the pictures speak for themselves, it was very beautiful and peaceful, we were all sad to leave.

If you get a chance to go there, do, another interesting point is it has the nicest airport any of us had ever been to - basically it was small and quite alot of it was open air e.g. huts and as many of you know my love of free stuff - there were complimentry drinks, snacks, internet, relaxing chairs - it was brilliant!

So back to Bangkok and this time venturing into the city centre -we took a taxi in as there were no trains for another two hours and went to the backpackers haven of Banglamphu and the Khao San Road. We booked into the Chart guesthouse for one night, however decided we would not return for another as we saw a rather large cockroach near the bar and had heard of a nicer guesthouse nearby. We caught a local bus and went to the Chatuchak Weekend Market - it has over 15000 stalls and sells everything from kittens to carpets! There was literally everything you could want- clothes, shoes, lanterns, candles, backpacks, glassware, silverware etc, I could go on............. but i won't!Ele did come away with a dog collar which she innovatively is using to help attach her daypack to her clothing and has the words "we love dog" inscribed on it

Then to the evening time; we went out for dinner in a street cafe we had seen on one of the nearby roads and then explored the khao san road- this is supposed to be the backpackers centre and was full of street traders as it turns into a pedestrian only zone - lots of cheap copied cd's, clothes, street food (including candyfloss randomly) and street bars e.g. selling drinks by the bucket! Ther was even a stall selling shoes which turned out to be second hand and ?stolen as we found some with a girls name writtern on the side! They were a nice pair of converse trainers which Clara nearly bought! The Khao San road even has a Boots store- I knew i should have brought my advantage card!

Well today we moved into the Peachy guesthouse which is quite near the Khao San road but hopefully without the noise. Tonight we intend to go to the Bed Superclub which apparently is based on the concept of a spaceship and everything is white inside - should be interesting! and tomorrow we will explore the temples of Bangkok including the reclining buddha at Wat Pho

So what do i think of bangkok? Its bizarre, amazing and crazy and mad and so, so hassled but at the same time you don't really mind. The people are friendly and we are learning bits of the language here and there as we go. haven't been in a tuk tuk yet, maybe tonight! I'm hoping that before we fly to New Zealand we will have a chance to come back to Bangkok as there are one or two things we may not be able to complete before we head out to north thailand and I would like to take the time to enjoy it. Next update soon, keep the emails coming!
