Day Three on our fabulous adventure.

Well, we got a later start this morning than planned as I mentioned in my earlier blog. Today we sort of took our time.

Now it's time for my criticisms of our hotel:
No minifridge or microwave like the springhill suites, no separate bathroom and sink area, weird seat attached at the end of the shower as if its a handicapped bathroom, but the water will never reach someone on the seat, there is only wired internet access and the cord is very short. They also keep it hanging in the armoir. That's weird. Also, we were literally right next to the highway. NO FREE BREAKFAST. How didn't I see that when booking?

Wonderful things about the hotel:
they always place us near the elevator, which DJ and I don't mind at all, it means we are that much closer to bed at the end of the night. It has beds and better internet than the springhill suites in Hershey. It's also very close to lots of food places and entertainment. Bristol is pretty hopping as the last place before Tennessee. It also has a bar and the pool is open til 11pm, neither of which we took part in.

DJ and I have had this pattern so far when it comes to hotels. Arrive, blog, collapse, wakeup, shower, drive. So tonight we are planning to try to get to Memphis at a reasonable hour so we can actually eat a leisurely dinner perhaps. We are going to grab food along the way and we are planning to stop in Nashville briefly. Our plans on spending a few hours in each city was foiled by tiredness and lack of alarms.

Also, there are pictures up from DJ's goodbye party on my facebook so if you have facebook, are friends with me and want to see them, feel free. There are some pictures from our awesome Boccie game with Seth and Christine, some candids, some other really cute posed shots.

We have just put in Jen's “We miss DJ music” mixed CD. So that should be fun. Love you all, I'll update later, or DJ will update later as we find new things to update about.

Whew! What a whirl-wind!
I haven't been able to read your blog posts since yesterday afternoon, and for two people that are mostly driving, you do a lot!! Miss y'all - glad to hear your trip is going well.

Hope you have a good day today - when in Memphis, look up Elvis's house. I drove by when visiting FedX many years ago - no time for tour, but (back then early 1990's) there was a clipjoint across the street that called itself a museum -- at least it had a pink cadillac on the premises. LOVE YOU BOTH!

Hi kids! I miss you and wish I was there to hear all of the interesting things. Make sure to rest and take turns. Did you have any rain or hail? We have not had any weather reports. (I have been reading all of your pages - your mother has been printing them out. This morning she came to cracker Barrell without the new pages. I wanted to send her back!) Love Nanny!
