Gridlock! Gridlock! Gridlock!

Outside of Unionport, NY
Location: Unionport, NY (approximately exit 8 on I-95)

So here we are in traffic at 7:21pm. Doesn't rush hour end before now? Just a thought. We are also getting boxed in by trucks. We're viewing many “almost accidents” so that's fun. In order to get that picture of the traffic I stuck the camera outside of the window. DJ made me wait until we passed the car that had pulled off the road because otherwise it would have looked like I was taking a picture of them.

We passed this giant cemetery earlier, can't remember what town it was outside of. Failing I know. And the headstones were so close together I could barely believe it. So I took a picture. DJ said “There are a lot of dead people in New York.” Hilarious.

DJ and I must be related because we make these sweeping comments about NY and what we think of it. When I opened the window after the cemetery, it was warm air and I said “New York is hot.” So there we go.

Sorry if this entry isn't as exciting as others, but I hope you enjoy.

It's creepy how close the graves are.
lot of trouble making the internet work this time. First I was trying to do it too fast. DJ said “Yay for you and your efficiency and multitasking”. But it didn't equal us being on the internet. So many steps, but at least it's here now.

PS I can't get “I wanna dance with somebody” out of my head. I try to stop myself from singing it, but then I just start making other sounds along its melody instead of humming or singing it. Oh well. That's what we all get for not putting on a new CD.

Estimated time of arrival based on GPA: 10:11pm. Thanks NYC traffic.
Highway count: 7
Time we left CT and entered NY: 6:42pm

An example of some of the odd interchanges we have:
DJ: “Stop talking like you want me to help, I need to drive”
Katie: “I'm not talking to you”
DJ: “You're talking to the computer. You are talking to Fate. But you're screwed because Fate's a Mac person”

You'll also understand that I don't read instructions like the rest of my family, yet I get grief for not reading the instructions on how to blog which allows me to update town names to the blog website thing. Potentially later tonight I'll figure out how to back log the entries to tell us where we were. We'll see.

PS. It wasn't gridlock, by the time of blog 7:40pm (yes it takes a while for me to do this) we have passed the accident which was the root cause of the traffic. But now we are stopping and going again. Sigh.

Hello friends
Hello travelers. I wish I had something more exciting to say than that, but I am glad you're updating. Not fifteen minutes ago, I said to Seth and Rob, "I wonder how DJ's doing." Not to exclude Katie or anything. I am, of course, concerned about you too, Katie. But now I know how you're doing. Whenever you see a "Q" do you want to play the alphabet game really quickly so that you can use that Q? I do. You should play. Love!

I believe it may have been a Jewish cemetery, with the burials vertical.
