We have finally made it to Pondicherry and we love it, maybe it has to do with how bloddy french the whole place is? Or all the lovely reasturents and cafes? Or how clean the streets are? That we have not seen a single cow since we got here? Or our beautiful old colonal guesthouse? Whatever it is we love and and Sarah my French travelling buddie loves it even more then i as everyone speaks french, and even i can manage a few words...we are planning on doing lots of shopping and sitting in cafes and eating cheese...what more does a girl want in here life?
I have even changed my ticket so that i will be leaving India on the 10th of June for Sri Lanka as being ill just stole days from us and the idea of getting up to channi for tomorrow was terrible unapealing...so i have lots of time now to work on my french and eat lots of good food, maybe even drink some local wine...though it has been quite a while since i drank anything. It is just too hot over here and getting tippsy is a strange place is never all that safe to do.
Sarah and i made a few stops along the way from Koadai to break up the bus journey, they seems to always be places that had big temples, some of the places it seemed like we might have been the first white people they had ever seen, we just got soem of the funniest looks, espically from children who run up to us and want to shake our hands, maybe just to see that we are real???
But i still managed to get sick though. This time it is just a cough and cold, i might go and see what perscription drugs i can get from the local chemist without a perscription...got to love the system here!!!
Am off to do lots of shopping and to see if i can get some clothes made, as the t.shirts i brought with me are not great for this kind of heat.
Any request???
Love and kisses Robin xoxoxox
